Another dumb post on tigerdroppings

"My name is Maximus Deculus Maulerus, enforcer of the LSU offensive line, dominator of the Southeastern Conference and loyal player to the TRUE coach of LSU, Orgeronius Lafourcheous. Heir to an honored tradition and saviour to a decimated o-line. And I will have my championships, in this year or the next (and the next)."

Dude, we have lots of potential depth. Many guys can move over from Defense.

quote:O just made a phone call to Chicago and asked KM how the required pre-requisite "Official" OL coaching training was going?
D can only carry us so far...This OL situation is far more serious than O is letting on. He may be jesting and joking, but it's keeping him up at night- at least I would think so...
Said he didn't know if he could hold off till 2018 to bring him in!..........

What?
We have 11 OL
We have 5 quality starters (3 solid starters back Clapp, Malone and Weathersby) and Cushenberry (RSFR) Brumfield who is a 4 year Junior!!
Great recruiting class with 3 Big Fellas (Deculus, Ingram and Charles)
3 other huge guys with some practice and game experience (D. Campbell (Soph), A. Magee (Soph) and J. Savage (Fr)
How many do we actually need to have a great season?
If we lose a starter (which may be the average for a whole season, lets say Cushenberry at tackle. Then we bring in huge Deculus who is 6'5 325 lb (we wont find that at a trial.
Starters: A very seasoned bunch 1 Sr. 3 Jr. 1 RSFR
LT No. 63 KJ Malone 6-4, 321, SR
LG No. 78 Garrette Brumfield 6-3, 299, JR
C No. 64 William Clapp 6-5, 314, JR
RG No. 79 Lloyd Cushenberry 6-4, 316, RSFR
RT No. 66 Toby Weathersby 6-5, 308, JR
Backups:
LT No. 77 Saahdiq Charles 6-5, 321, FR
LG No. 70 Edward Ingram 6-4, 314, FR
C No. 79 Lloyd Cushenberry 6-4, 316, RSFR (only 1 I repeated due to Center position)
RG No. 71 Donavaughn Campbell 6-4, 343, SO
RT No. 76 Austin Deculus 6-5, 324, FR
Remaining backups:
OG No. 73 Adrian Magee 6-5, 323, SO
OT No. 65 Jakori Savage 6-5, 317, FR
Worse case scenario and we lose 2 players during the year: 1 LG and 1 RT then look at this line up
LT No. 63 KJ Malone 6-4, 321, SR
LG No. 71 Donavaughn Campbell 6-4, 343, SO
C No. 64 William Clapp 6-5, 314, JR
RG No. 79 Lloyd Cushenberry 6-4, 316, RSFR
RT No. 76 Austin Deculus 6-5, 324, FR
It is actually a much larger unit and since Deculus has been at LSU since the spring he is making progress. There is nothing wrong with this unit especially if we had TWO season ending injuries.

Hey this is a great idea except it's too limited. We should have open try outs for most positions.I'm sure we could pick up a few all american QBs,linebackers,DBs,and defensive linemen.I don't think this would work for WRs though.
What a buffoon!
