And hardly anyone reads a newspaper anymore let alone the USA Today.
If you’re picking up a copy of the USA Today you’re most likely not interested in CFB.

Louisiana politics has earned the label "Band of Idiots" as long as I can remember.

Don't bring the band into this mess. Theyre an LSU treasure!

Kelly’s attorneys are placing media stories to gain leverage.
Just hire a great coach

We can't hire a coach anyway for a few weeks, so by then this whole thing will be old news.
This too shall pass
You think potential elite coaches and their agents are just going to forget that LSU didn't want to fulfill thier contractual obligation AND are threatening to publicly humiliate their previous coach if he doesn't accept a lesser buyout? You are a fool.

Ouch! I think LSU needs to man up and pay the man his money. Then get a real AD in there to take the reins like an adult. Go get the best to interview and present a plan out of Morris, Golesh, Sumrall and Silverfield, or take a shot at Matt Campbell or Brent Key. Lick your wounds, support the coach with NIL and get out of the way. Yeesh!

No, I don't think they'll forget, but I think they will also get full transparency from LSU which is something we don't have.
I also think that any coach that is willing to step into the HC position at LSU probably has a little bit of an ego on him and will not care about the previous coach if he thinks he can come in and win a title.

LSU has always been a National Media step-child. They think we are quaint and poor and ignorant.
I could give a blue crab shite what they say.
Think of it as free advertisement.

While entertaining, these stories are not going to influence the next coaching hire. What will matter is the behind the scenes truth and interactions between Kelly, the coach, and the AD or whoever is the boss of the HC. Was there meddling, etc.
Sexton, Armstrong, and Dowdell represent over 80% of all college coaches and it is their job to maximize value and minimize risk to their clients. They will know the real story of LSU and will negotiate accordingly. We’ll learn soon enough from the hiring who did what. Agents have a vested interest in these contracts and are not going to give away their own share of the money because a governor sends out a proclamation about incentive based contracts. The next contract will be interesting.

Just hire a great coach, start playing football with discipline and effort, and all of this goes away.
Kelly was just an incredibly bad hire and a bad person. There is an evil spirit in that man. You could see this coming 100 miles away.[/quote.
LSU is coming off looking like the village idiot. I don't know who on here listens to Full Ride on XM, but they have a huge audience.LSU was eviscerated on the show this morning during a regular piece called Get Yourself Together. They basically stated that everyone knows why Kelly was fired and it was because he wasn't winning. Whatever bs claim they have to prove "for cause" would have been buried if he were,so pay him per the contract and move on. They played a clip from Gov. Yah Yah and it was embarrassing as hell. I can't imagine why any coach would want to go near this cluster frick.

What did you expect when it was reported LSU was being run by a bunch of Leftists.
They are good at one thing, spending someone else's money to further their empire;.

This is the stupidity on a whole other level saying we are wannabes.

The only time I might read USA Today is when it’s left outside of my hotel door.
