I haven’t seen every game but from what I saw against Texas and the little I’ve seen tonight, I think this team just needs more time against real competition.
I think towards the end of conference play they will look a LOT better than they do right now.
We have looked deficient on the mound at times, and also defensively altogether. Jones and Milam have been pretty good, but there have been some bad plays from others on defense.
I think the team will gel and get better as they move through conference play.

I bought into the hype like many that had the team ranked #1 in the nation.

Some of those questionable decisions are outright stupid. Double steal while pinch hitting Frey last week ends with Bear at 3rd, Frey in right and Brown at 1st where he had never played.
He completely mismanaged last week beyond that dumbass call

In 6 full seasons (out of 8) as a HC for a program in a Power conference, he has been to the CWS 3 times. First season as HC at Arizona he was runner up. Last season at Arizona he won the Pac12. 2nd season he wins the CWS at LSU.
