And then theres no turning back.

One of the biggest factors in a QB is winning the team over. If he trots out there and the WRs start having fun, its a wrap on the Nuss bus.

Its why BK is hesitant, but two or three bad drives and i think Nuss is done.

One way or another, itll be a new LSU offense come Saturday.

Unfortunately, a heavy run gameplan will mask all of this. LSU is going to try and run the ball and play the sideline a ton in this game.

Bold of you to assume MVB automatically marches down the field if the offense is struggling with Nuss.

Even if that were to happen, we’d probably see a 2 QB system rest of the season. Bring on the downvotes

Im saying that not even BK is going to allow Nuss to play like he did @ Ole Miss again.

Either Nuss comes out and plays like a 5th year senior or hes probably done

Less bold of me to assume MVB wont throw the ball into triple while two guys are running open.

Im off the bus and on the van at this point. I hope Nuss turns it around but injuries dont explain the decision making.

I really don’t think BK has the balls to make a switch… I hope I’m wrong though. We cannot keep trotting out the same inept offense week in and week out with an SEC starter as a backup but BK has proven to be hardheaded.

One would hope!!

The issue stacked against MVB over Nuss is we are going to run the shite out of the ball and throw to the sideline to try and soften up coverages for down field passing attempts. This will play to Nuss’s “strengths.”

We have issues, but Nuss is one of them.

Solving any of them would improve the offense.

Nuss had an outlier bad game against OM.
His historic stats and PFF grades show that.
He is a good QB, but he makes big mistakes under pressure.
The big problem is he not a Heisman quality QB like the last two.
And he has loads of talent to throw to, which makes his disfunction all the more apparent and frustrating.
MVB should have gone in the OM game. It was like the Natty against Saban all over again, when Miles was unwilling to try anything different, despite failing the whole game.
BUT, the best bet, til he fails again for a few drives is still Nuss..

Ah Rohan...it maybe because i was young back then but it really felt like he was the first QB id ever saw that threw legit on a rope dots to WRs.

Maybe. Maybe not. MVB had 7 INT in 256 pass attempts last year (2.7%). Nuss had 12 INT in 525 attempts. (2.2%). Nuss currently has 3 INT in 171 attempts this year (1.7%)

This is a fantasy. The SEC is not Southeastern. We saw this last year. He doesn’t have the natural running skills of a JD5. He might be a better passer at this point in his development than JD5 was at ASU. But,…Nussmeier is a better passer and starter by a long stretch. And I assume Nuss doesn’t run at all. But we have to stop with the RPO formations and plays. We don’t have one of the options.

I'd be shocked if Sloan actually calls power runs. His crappy arse idea of a running game is pussyfooting and confusing the OL.

I don't really believe Nuss is a bad QB, he just can't physically make the throws needed due to his injury. I think he was going for the deep post WR on that interception he had vs OM, he just couldn't get it there.

That said, MVB isn't the runner that many believe him to be. Even though he lost a lot of yards to sacks last year, he should've had at least one major run broken and I think his longest run is 17 yards. Different offense and different needs but I still think he's mobile enough to extend some plays.

This is who he’s always been. Makes braindead decisions all the time. The 12 interceptions last year and the A&M meltdown wasn’t an anomaly

Nuss also isn’t throwing it down the field like he was last year. Half of his throws are at or behind the LOS.
