And if you sort by Pass attempts, completions, or total passing yards (by all QBs), last year ended up ranking 2nd all-time.

I am surprised. And 27.7 attempts per game is not too bad, I would like to see more attempts, but that's not too bad.
I will say that Daniels played in at least one more game than most of the players on that list and in one case 3 more games. His average per attempt is lower than everyone on that list with the exception of Mettenberger in 2012. Daniels was rated 58th in NCAA out of 113 last year, at 7.51 ypa. Not terrible, not good. He did get better as the season went along, he was near last in the first half of the season.
Joe Burrow 9.37 ypa
Rohan Davey 12 games 9.11 yards per attempt
Jamarcus Russell 13 games 9.14 yards per attempt
Zach Mettenberger 12 games 10.412
Joe Burrow 13 games 7.635
Matt Mauck 14 games 7.89
Max Johnson 12 games 7.54
Tommy Hodson 11 games 8.4
Zach Mettenberger 13 games 7.4119

Quit with the past and let’s concentrate on the present. Football has changed and Coach Kelly is using the alignment created at LSU to take the football team and players to the highest level in a very short period of time. I appreciate the past successes of our previous winning teams but look forward to many years of continued success under coach Kelly’s leadership, management and vision for our team.
