The key to the game was always Miami’s O line against OM’s D line.

Miami dominated.. they just shot themselves in the foot to keep it close.

I think a blatant holding call was missed on Beck’s TD scramble.

Miami had chances to intercept but dropped balls are part of it. So much money on these games that I cannot believe they are not nudged here and there in some form or fashion. One or two calls at the “right” moments can turn everything.

Its simple. They had the ball 18 mins last night. TOP 41.5 mins for Miami vs. 18.5 mins for the losers.

They should’ve lost by 11 at least. 4 dropped picks, missed fg, batted ball picked by OM while driving, multiple false starts, and officiating seemed to favor the Rebs. The other frustrating thing was Shannon Dawson would inexplicably go away from the run when it was clear OM couldn’t stop it. The flea flicker was unnecessary and dumb. This may have turned ugly if some of this stuff hadn’t happened.

There is always controversy in any game. This one had it's own as well. OM had a targeting call reversed. Miami had their upheld which I think was a lame. You are replaying it in slo-mo, the runner was falling down and as the defender came into hit him. Bad call IMO.

So that broke for OM favor. You could argue the PI at the end but it wasn't anything crazy. 2 guys fighting for position. They aren't going to call that on a hail mary. Miami had chances to ice this game with missed Int's.

Miami tried to lose last night and should have won by 20.

The officiating was very bad, several phantom and missed calls.
Difficult to say which team it favored since there were so many

If Miami’s OC wouldn’t have done his best Joe Sloan impression, Miami wins that game by 2 or 3 scores

Ref crew went out of their way to slant it toward OM.

Miami's time of possession was 41 minutes and Ole Miss's was 18 minutes. Ole Miss got outplayed but was able to keep it close.

which is hilarious when you consider that Miami had a starter ejected for targeting when he made a totally normal play. Will also be suspended for 1st half of natty.

What's even worse was basically the exact same play was flagged for targeting in the first half then waived off for OM.

In other words when it benefitted OM, the call was taken away, THEN to benefit OM again, it was upheld. (meaning they basically changed the definition of targeting mid game to benefit OM)

OM NEVER got called for holding in that game, but Miami was when they were about to get rolling for a blowout in the first half....OM got the benefit of the officiating no doubt.

For them to think they got the short end is laughable.

Last night showed that you need to run the football and that Lane Kiffin is the true play caller not Weise Jr.
