It is not college football anymore its D league professional football.
I am a fan not a owner and I have no say in coaching, scheduling and get no return on any investment I make except watching my team maybe be more competitive by paying 18y/o people millions playing football.
Cool if you want to support them with extra money but you are not gonna really change the game now. It's a farm league for the NFL I am fine with the years LSU has had and will gladly start fishing and hiking more instead of making more teenage millionaires.

Read headline- there’s many more areas I donate money than NIL.
Football is a game…
Football is a game…

No, it’s a millionaire begging you for money at the store. The players receiving the money that’s being donated are living better than the person donating the money.

should not have any problem with players getting paid when you consider the billions of dollars in revenue generated by college sports
And that’s why I will NOT donate shite to this crap.
The sport is tainted now

Exactly, wish I could find someone to pay my employees.

... and those 300 most likely contribute $5.00 each!

If sports generate billions why are fans being asked to donate?
It’s sad that this is the reality of college football. Chicken isn’t wrong, there needs to be money to compete.
It’s just pathetic that our value system is fricked to the point where we will donate any amount of money to help land a big recruit when a large chunk of kids in college eat ramen, drive beater cars with gas near empty, and steal toilet paper from campus buildings to save a few bucks.

We live in a world where a halfway decent college football player will make considerably more than teachers, firefighters, police officers, professors

I’d much rather keep giving monthly to St Jude……frick Clownworld.

$100 a month
I would be out
I would be out

No one has a problem with players getting paid. But since college sports are generating billions of dollars in revenue, shouldn’t “college sports” be the ones paying the players?
“Ole Miss fans are suckers, you should be a sucker too.”

Why should I want to pay college kids to play ball? They should just start a minor league for football.
Exactly. People can barely pay their bills and afford to go to these games to support their team. It’s kinda pathetic if you ask me. I think I’ll give whatever extra money I have to people suffering or my own family. Thanks though.

As an LSU alum who can now afford it, I’ll pass while Brian Kelly is the coach.
No you won’t. You rather bitch about the coach or team no matter who is leading it. It’s who you are.

Some of that is on LSU for doing a bad job marketing the NIL collective.
We need to fix it and catch up, it is what is at this point.
Glad we are trying to fix the problem and pushing it through the largest website is a great start.

Louisiana has some of the most giving and kind people in the world. Most would give the shirt off their back to help a stranger in need.
Funding a college recruit so they can live an NFL luxury lifestyle is not high on the list of priorities in a family's monthly budget.
I understand the conundrum with needing players, but man that's a hard sell. The cost/benefit just isn't there for most people.
