I don’t care about Florida
Mainly bc Gainesville sucks and is far away.

They are all much easier trips to make when we play on the road.

It was just for two years. 24 and 25. The said that at the beginning of because the plan was to revisit the idea of a 9 game SEC schedule after 2025.
With the 9 game schedule being adopted, the SEC now has to reconfigure the scheduling.

I will be pissed if both ATM and Arky are permanent rivals. Those games are not fun matchups (especially Arkansas' boring arse team) and honestly just annoy me. Give me Ole Miss, Bama, and Florida.

My bet would be A&M and the 2 Ms schools. I believe we have played Ole Miss and MSU the most out of all the SEC schools.

I like this trifecta, but we won't get auburn. alabama doesn't really want us, but how can the league pass on that money game?

The conversation keeps revolving around the 3 annual opponents whenever this comes up. I think the more interesting conversation is how will the rotation of the other 6 games works for each school. Who ends up getting screwed with too many good teams every other year? Who has a year where there are a lot of difficult road games? Etc.

I think the league gives us:
Ole Miss . This is not negotiable.
Oklahoma. New manufactured “ rivalry”.
Texas A&M . Long standing feud.
Arkansas- established “ trophy game possibility.
I hate playing Aggie and would personally prefer almost anybody in that spot. MSU is our real “ historical” every year game . Playing Texas would be spicy from a new hatred perspective.
Ole Miss . This is not negotiable.

I think y’all are all missing a key point. LSU needs a team to play on rivalry week. So one of the permanent rivals is going to be Arkansas or OU unfortunately.

Florida has Florida State
My prediction for our three:
Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas
I’d much prefer Arkansas over OU. We have almost no history with OU.

Hopefully that "rivalry" ends, they melt the trophy down, and give the proceeds to a children's hospital. There is not a less creative trophy in the game than "the boot". It's like they decided on a Wednesday the game needed a trophy and scrambled to try to come up with one in time for Friday with someone finally chiming in "Hey, just cut out Louisiana and Arkansas from that map over there and send the picture to Bob's Trophies to see if he can have it ready by Friday. Oh, make it gold to add a touch of class."
