Correct. Different format, though, and we swept the tournament that year. If I remember right, that was one year where they'd play the brackets until there was only one undefeated team left, then the undefeated teams would switch brackets or some goofy shite like that.

Dumber than having single elination for 1 round, then double elimination for 2, then back to single elimination? The format for the SECT is ridiculous and even more so for a tournament that’s supposed to be completed in 6 days. The format needs to be changed or fewer teams need to make it.

at first I didn't like the ACC tournament thing but maybe it is better. It's hard to have a good typical bracket type tournament with this many teams.

The Tigers had opportunities.......we could not capitalize by not hitting or swinging at bad pitches at the wrong time. Oh well....we made a good run in the tournament.

8 double elim is better than round robin. But I think the round robin may be a good option for 12 teams.
