It heartens me to see the renewed interest in our female basketball team, but what’s up with the old ppl in the grandstands?

I’ll take a stab at this - my wife and I go to some games because first, it’s LSU ! But we like the crowds, the success they are having, cheer on the team and as a friend of ours said, to see what Kim is wearing that day !!!
Is this a problem ?

Maybe older people like basketball too? This is a seriously dominant team, so they are enjoying a winner.

They enjoy watching and this is nothing new. Guess you just haven't noticed in years past.

The "OLD" people have been there for years. They have supported LSU forever. The difference with all you young people is they earn it. Their tickets aren't bought by Mom and Dad.

Apparently they have more to do with their time than playing on their phone/computer complaining about Old PPL.

What a ridiculous thing to notice, and an even more ridiculous thing to post.

They really should just die and give their tickets to younger people…pretty awful of them.

Most seniors are on a fixed budget and woman’s sports are cheaper

They also hate huge crowds and sitting in the parking lot forever

That’s why you always notice lots of them at WBB, Softball and Gymnastics

Women's basketball has always been an old person crowd. Went to most games when I was in school and nobody was in the stands except the same old ladies

Now you’re not complaining because there’s many people but because they are old.

Because those old people have been season ticket holders longer than some people on the board have been alive & those old people actually go to the games, always have. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a huge interest from the young people, the 200 level always has many empty seats.
