Probably after the Tulane game. My dad was in some of those riots. Had to protect the goal posts from the enemy.

Lot of weekends with my dad in that place. Some Sundays we would be the last people there… good times

Picture is likely from the 1940s.

Stadium was expanded to that configuration in 1936 and became a bowl in 1953. Original Alex Box was constructed in 1938.

The HPL pool and my best read on the year is 1936, but I could be way off.

Yes I have a picture of LSU vs Jefferson Barracks from 1909 and a huge picture of LSU vs Tulane on the first match up after Tulane rejoined the SIAA conference from 1911 (North eastern side of the State Captial).
