Next year, we've got a much more seasoned...JJ coming back as a Junior to lead the Tigahs. He'll be better next year as will the whole team. We've got a TON of talent returning, and with his increased experience leading the offense, maybe JJ can be the QB he has the potential to be...not just when he has a month to prepare for game. Let's face it, he's look his best with multiple weeks to prepare...see the GT and AU beat downs!

Your logic is flawed. Yes, more experience will help...but bad experience does not help.

JL has shown no improvement. JJ has shown little. The play calling has been atrocious. RBs can't find a groove, cuz they get yanked after a huge gain. RS looks confused in the QB spot...and honestly I don't blame him one bit. I've said it before...Miles and Crowton probably confuse the shite out of all of them. We can't get a play off at the line of scrimmage. Almost all of our opponents outgain us. Why? Because we run about half the number of plays that they do. Is this acceptable? I don't think so.

Now, I am not so optimistic about our O-line next year. We lose Lafell...and I certainly hope TT comes back...although I couldn't blame him for leaving. CS, KW, TH are gone. Where's this experience at RB? D should be good enough to win games. Arky, AU, MSU, will be better next year. UF and OM may be down (without Tebow and McCluster). We simply cannot win this conference with Miles at the helm. Unless...this clusterf*ck causes the epiphany he needs to do better. Miles is getting called out big time.

its not the record its the way the team performs in victory and defeat

So, if LSU performed well but was 0-11, you'd be fine? Really?

Oh really? Then it's not Miles fault, it's our fault. If only we expected to win a NC every year then we would? Damn, why didn't I think of that?

it's all ryan perilloux's fault.

it's not ONLY wins and losses. this record would be acceptable if we got outplayed and outperformed while playing hard and smart.

we have looked like crap all year. the only t team we've beaten with a winning record is Auburn. we barely beat teams we should have slaughtered.

the team started out looking bad and has not improved. JJ has improved a little bit at the end of the season as has the defensive line.

we still look horrible, after looking really bad last year.

that means we will probably look really bad next year.

Good Post. Ole Miss loss hurt bad, but it's over. The football gods gave us payback for our 1-second miracle win in Baton Rouge 37 years ago. This loss is now part of LSU - Ole Miss folklore. Let it go. Cheer on this Tiger team Saturday night, and we will finish 10-3. That will be top ten, a good step forward from last year and a nice springboard into 2010.

God they are starting to come back out of hibernation. I thought Saturday night might have finished them off for the season. Damn you Miles. Could you rise up and try hard, really hard and have your worst coaching performance of your career against R-kansas. Please. That once and for all will shut your lovers up.

Well done Michigan Tiger. Not that I expect your analysis to make much of an impression on the collective temper tantrum going on in here.

Have you seen ANY improvement?

Yes.

Jordan Jefferson was making his 12th start on Saturday. He's been through two entire fall camps and one full spring. He's started a bowl game and a full slate of eight SEC games.

And he's improved and played well despite a horrific sceheme and a complete lack of a running game.

Neither Matt Mauck nor Matt Flynn had as much experience going into 2003 or 2007, even though they were chronologically older.

Mauck had an extra year in the system and Flynn was in the system for four years.

Lack of experience is not his problem.

Right, because he hasn't played bad.

The only lacking intelligence is your analysis.

There are just some fans you will never convince and the sky will always be falling. 10-3 is what pretty much everyone realistically predicted and that's fine, for now.

Next year is Miles make or break year though.

Damn, this post is all over the place!

We gained 40 yards rushing and 290 total.
Our arse was spanked all over the field. We again were late getting calls in. We run the same play that failed on a two point conversion. We failed to call a timeout. We looked lost.

And next year is better???!!!!!

We have the same guying coaching the team, thus clock management will be the same.

We lose our linebackers, some D-line that can't pass rush, and some O-line that can't open up our run game.

And it is gonna get better???

It does not matter how much talent we have at the so called "skill" positions. If you can't block on offense and can't rush the passer on defense, it doesn't freaking matter.

Next year is gonna be bad, real bad...

It's not about 1, 2, 3, or 4 losses. We have stunk all year and have not gotten better as a team. The defense has played well at times, but as an entirety, we have been a bad team getting by with better athletes over some weak competition.
We played inspired a couple of times or maybe a half here and there, but overall have been painful to watch.

The individual sentences ring true. Put them together, and the sentiment behind it isn't.

jj used the word "confusion" to describe our sideline....he was closer to the situation than anyone on here. coach is in charge of the sideline. coach supposed to be able to call a time f***in out. "i'd heard the timeout being called verbally". all this and the awesome arse woopin we gave la tech makes me not so much a miles fan.
