3). THE QUESTION all LSU fans should be asking: Is Miles Coaching to keep his job or to win another Championship?

He already has his job. For basically as long as he wants it. And he knows that. And that's the problem. Complacency has set in.

Remember when jarret Lee was benched for our "qb of the future jj". All the games jj played in and he never really improved he sucked his whole career. The point is either you have it or you dont. Obviously jj didnt. Giving jennings pt now will not be the difference between him being cam newton-esque or jefferson-esque.

But by your logic we should probably bench every starter to give the younger guys more experience, am i right?

this shite lies squarely on the defense

Absolutely no doubt the defense has to take plenty of blame. And as I stated in another post, loss last night falls into a lot of laps but one of those laps is without a doubt Mett's. Now did Mett do enough in the second half to help get us back into contention to win, ABSO-frickING-LUTELY, but that does not change the fact that we would probably not have been in that situation if Mett had not thrown those 3 interceptions. So Mett has to take blame, just like the defense does. And if you don't understand that you really don't know anything about the game. Did he make atone for his poor play in the 1st half he did, but you can't say his first half play didn't happen. And if he hadn't thrown those 3 int's in the first half what would the score have been. It would not have been 10-0 that is a pretty damn good bet. All 3 int's were on the Rebels side of the field, 10-10, 10-6, 14-10 you pick the score but 10-0 would have been highly unlikely. And if the game is 10-10 going into the 2nd half how does that change the complexion of the game? Maybe we pound it more and take time off the clock. Don't know but we will never know now.

Did Mett give up the game winning drive?

No but throwing those 3 picks not giving us the option to put points on the board in the first half when we were in scoring position changed the complexion of the game. The defense sucked but Mett did too the first half and he is partly to blame for the loss. Bet you anything you want if you ask Mett, he would say his play helped to cost us the game. Players know what they did and didn't do.

Please point out one post in where I said "Bench Mett for AJ" if you can I will stop posting. You can't because I didn't. Where do you idiots come up with getting playing time for a qtr a game is benching Mett. But helping to get AJ some reps for next year is a good thing and your bringing up Lee proves the point.

Lee was benched when he was a freshman because he threw too many pick 6's do I need to refresh your memory. What the educated thought on why he threw so many pick 6's is because of his inexperience and just being thrust into the role as a freshman. So that would logically state that you want to try and slowly integrate young players "especially at vital positions like QB" into the game instead of just thrusting them into the starting role. Hence start to give AJ significant playing time to help for next year, because if we lose another game this year as much as it will suck and as much as we don't want that. It will not change the outcome of our season at this point, just which bowl we play in.

But having a QB that does what Lee did his freshman year because of the inexperience would screw next year also. So now not only this season we don't play for the SEC west title, SEC title and NC, but we put next seasons possibilities in jeopardy also with an inexperienced QB when we have the opportunity to get him experience and not cost us our goals at this point. Come on man think, use the brain your were born with.

Throwing him in vs. Bama has to be a great recipe for success

You are correct but benching him was happening anyway that just made the inevitable the reality.

The start would be getting him at least a qtr in Furman, maybe a half depending on how he plays, and assessing from there. If he handles Furman well, get him limited snaps in Bama might be the thing to do but getting him significant reps in the Furman game would be the way to figure that out.

That is my point, what season? All our goals are realistically gone.

Again, I get what you're putting across and there is a part of me that feels the same way. But you can't just throw up your hands and when your primary goals fall by the wayside. You have to have secondary goals. That should be for us to win the rest of our games and have an outside shot at the Sugar Bowl.

At this point the coaches need to step up and start planning for next year. Mett thanks for coming to LSU and thanks for your contributions this year. The way you played against UGA we should have won that for you, but the defense screwed the pooch. Unfortunately last night was on you, as bad as the defense did play those 3 ints cost the game. Since our goals for this year can not be met, we now have to start to plan for being successful next year along with finishing up this year.

This could be the dumbest post I've ever read on TD and that's saying something

Is there a chance Brazil will be red-shirted or has he played?

Also, is he going to run track for LSU this spring?

Did not want to read so many pages of posts, so apologies if this has been addressed. Did see his name mentioned on the first page.

He's already played. Forget what game but he did play.

He hasn't played since because he did something at practice, at least that's what I read, and got in the doghouse.
