The same Mississippi State team that lost to Kansas St? At home?

That same team, that's right. The Same Kansas State team who beat Oklahoma. Doesn't seem like such a bad loss now, does it? I'm not saying MSU is a good team. Quite the contrary. But given the same pathetic schedules of the teams Ohio State is beating, they'd probably be a 2 loss team. Some of the records that are floating around in college football right now are hollow and incredibly misleading.

I call bs sos is not accurate when you blow away average teams compared to several highly ranked teams it’s the stress test
All I'm saying is that this run is not similar to 2011. That was domination on a whole different level.

For what it's worth. Ohio state's opponents are scoring 30 ppg outside of their game against OSU and giving up 20. LSU's opponents are scoring 30 and giving up 23. OSU is beating those teams worse than LSU is beating their opponents.

Also, bama's opponents are scoring 27 and giving up 26.

The college football playoff commission is a complete and utter joke and so is the current college football national championship. It's nothing but a damn joke.

Is auburn a better win? Florida?

None of it matters at all, but Ohio St hasn't beat anyone, period. Give me a break on cinn. Wisconsin lost to illinois. Lol.

Doesn't matter though, at all.

You mean lsu didn't crush Florida, auburn, and a healthy Texas. Osu hasn't played a team in the same zip code as Florida or auburn, nor a healthy Texas.

This h town guy. Ever read his posts? ALWAYS putting lsu down and pumping up other programs. If you see him in a thread, that's usually why. He isn't alone either.

LSU should never schedule FCS schools. They hurt you any way you look at it.

Wisconsin says hi.

And Texas wasn't exactly healthy when we played them. Neither were we though.

I'm just trying to add a little perspective to something that doesn't matter anyways. People are way too upset about the first rankings.

All things being equal, OSU SOS will take significant hits the next two weeks once they play abysmal Maryland and Rutgers.

It doesn’t matter...1,2,3 or 4. Wine the games in front of us, not just the next opponent.

Hardly. You are just an Uber biased fan that doesn’t want to give anyone else credit.

IT DOESNT MATTER who is #1 in this poll or really any of them. The top 4 make the playoff and i believe if we win out we will be #1 anyway

It doesn't matter right now.

Ohio State will play Penn State and then the Big Ten championship game.

We play Bama and then Georgia.

It all works itself out. I just don't see the use in getting all worked up with a third of the season left to go, and the conf championship games.

Relax, enjoy the games. It will all work itself out.

This is "literally" not true.

You'd guys make much better points if you didn't take everything to the extreme, thus making your points terrible.

FCS teams hurt SOS big time.

Compare Auburn and A&M's remaining SOS.

A&M:
South Carolina
#6 Georgia
#2 LSU

Auburn:
#6 Georgia
Samford
#3 Bama

FPI says:
A&M's remaining SOS is #4
Auburn's remaining SOS is #20

Home/Away also effect SOS.

Georgia southern actually not that bad of a win...they have 3 losses...1 was a loss by only 3 points to a undefeated minnesota. They also took down undefeated app state.

Texas losing to a third team and LSU winning by 3 points at home to Auburn is the only reason why Ohio St is considered better.

The narrative would be, "LSU has wins over 3 top 15 opponents and two of them by multiple TDs.

Ohio St in reality hasn't played one team that you'd look at and say it was a tough opponent outside of Wisconsin.

Looking at Ohio St though, I don't see them losing at all until the playoffs. They are just much better than even the really good teams in their conference. Penn St will give them some fits, but they'll win by double digits. They'll blow Michigan out again.

It doesn’t matter. LSU controls its fate.
