It just started from someone asking who could be some surprise weekend rotation guys and I said Fontenot.

I expect it to be Hill, Marceaux, Labas.

But seriously I’m curious to see what kind of roles Floyd and Folwer have in the bullpen. Both have filthy off speed stuff.

Also on another note f*ck Vandy and Florida. Maybe we can miss them both next year

I think we are all expecting marceaux to be a weekend starter, but if there was an injury or surprise guy, fontenot would be a prime candidate

Well, you just as well plan on needing that surprise starter, because Pawl Marinara will hurt pitchers like he always does.

Did I do it right?

I’ve heard from a source who would know that the sec schedule next year will be what it was supposed to be this year.

I agree. He is definitely the next guy up.

Full disclosure: I have very limited knowledge of the incoming freshmen

Fontenot needs to be the closer. You need a certain mentality to handle the stress of the situation. I like Beck setting him up.

Money should be closer. Strictly due to the name. Sounds like an awesome name for a closer.

This line of thinking has been repeated for decades now and there is no hard proof to back it up. Seems like good pitchers can close and bad ones cant. I subscribe to the billy beane belief, closers are overrated.

Beck could and has closed, fontenot can do it, hill can probably do it, hasty may be able to do it.

I'll update the OP. Thank you.

He was a guy I was upset we lost to injury this season. I think he hit two jacks in a fall game. Could have competed at 2B. Good luck to him at Co-Lin.

Tom Biggs hit .278 with 3 2b and 2 HR this past fall. He went 0-8 in spring scrimmages.

What was Biggs’ deal? Wasn’t he a walk on or a late add or something?

I don't know what his scholarship status was, but he was a normal recruited player. He was originally committed to ULL but switched to LSU sometime in his Junior year I believe. Came in as a two way player and had to have Tommy John after a pre-season pitching appearance.
