I’ve heard from a source who would know that the sec schedule next year will be what it was supposed to be this year.
I read an article with an interview with the Miss State coach and he pretty much said the same thing. It may not be the same order of play, but the home and away opponents will be the same. Which makes sense, since no one started a series this year.

That's the part that I heard. I don't know about the order.

Cole Henry officially signed with the Nationals today. Obviously a forgone conclusion, but today it was made official.

Wes Toups is going to Nicholls.

You want to play Florida for the RPI boost

That leaves Lagarrigue & Gunter still in the portal?
Posted on 6/25/20 at 10:06 am to LSUJML
Yeah, I'm anxious to see where Gunter goes. He's got a live arm and could be really good, but he needs innings.

You think anybody playing in the SEC needs an RPI boost?

Man, he looked like he had the potential to be LSU quality. Don’t know why he would leave if there’s no 35 (it sure as hell better be at least 40)

No. But there aren't any walkovers in the SEC anymore. Alabama is on the way up, they had a strong start to the shortened season powered almost entirely by their freshman class.
Mizzou is trending downward, but if we have to play there we're at the mercy of the weather and shitty turf.
Kentucky is rapidly trending downward and is probably the only really bad team in the SEC.
But we will go to Tennessee, who got off to a great start despite only getting 3 innings out of their first round pick pitcher. I don't remember the rest of the SEC schedule, just the Tennessee matchup because I want to make the road trip.

Playing in the SEC West alone means LSU will have series against at least 4-5 top 25 RPI teams. I don't think we really need an RPI boost.

Tennessee and Kentucky were our East road trips, Vandy and SC we had at home.

Getting South Carolina and Kentucky is about as friendly as you can ask for.

Nichols is getting a nice player.

There was some talk earlier in the summer that LSU would be sending pitchers out to get summer innings. I don't think that's actually going to happen. Originally Jaden Hill, Devin Fontenot, AJ Labas, and Landon Marceaux were supposed to pitch in the Northwoods League. Their games are scheduled to start next week and the teams they were supposed to pitch for no longer have them listed on the rosters.
Additionally, Brandon Kaminer has been on the roster for a South Florida Collegiate League team since the beginning of their season but has yet to get into a game.

I don’t think we had anyone going but Alaska cancelled their summer league.
