The MLB.com draft tracker, Baseball America's draft tracker, and sometimes the SB Nation site for a particular franchise.

Thanks. I just went back to the MLB.com draft tracker. No signings listed. I guess too soon.

This is one I follow also. Looks like Druw Jones signed for just under 8.2 mil and Kumar signed for 5.2 mil.

Thanks. Jacob Zibin a 10th rounder signed for 1.2M with Cleveland. Slot was $152K. Interesting

Did this guy go to eye doctor and find out he’s actually blind?

Forgive me if it was brought up and I missed it, but I was thinking about Jobert’s situation last night. It seems obvious that his path to consistent playing time is questionable, at best, but I wonder if he’s thinking about his long term future out of baseball. His potential seems extremely limited, so after seeing the report that he turned down money to sign, I started thinking that maybe he’s focusing on staying and finishing his degree at LSU instead of chasing more playing time and some years in single A ball.
Staying at his dream school to get some occasional playing time and being part of a national championship contending team, while taking care of his education for his long term future doesn’t seem like too bad of a prospect for someone in his position.
I could be completely off, but it feels like a possibility to me if he and his family are thinking realistic.

Dude got hotter than shite and then had times he couldn’t hit . That’s not limited potential. He’s got incredible potential if he can get more consistent. He will play quite a bit I think

I’m talking mostly about how he projects to professional ball when I say limited potential. That’s my bad for not clarifying.
But I do feel like it slightly applies at LSU, as well. He struggles against left handed pitching and from what we can tell based off of his usage and little time in the outfield, there’s better options out there. I don’t mean to get in to semantics, but only being able to DH against righties is limited, in my opinion.
You aren’t wrong about how good he can be, though, and I hope you’re right about him getting more consistent. Don’t mistake what I’m saying for me making a case for him not being valuable to LSU next year. That’s definitely not what I’m trying to say. I just think that it’s realistic for him to consider his future outside of baseball.
Also, I’m not even saying that’s what he SHOULD do. I was just throwing out a possibility as to why he could have turned down the opportunity to sign when it’s going to be very tough to crack the lineup next year. That’s all.
Side note: Thank you for not coming in hot and calling me a fricking idiot when disagreeing. It’s a shame that it’s surprising when that doesn’t happen on this board the last few days.

Jobert will be competeing with at least seven other outfielders for playing time. I would bet that he will be a PH/DH if he stays on the roster.

I really hope fans don’t overlook just how strong this class is. Sure, the draft took a ton of guys but we landed 2-3 we really didn’t think would make it.
On top of that, we have a strong lineup and a great pitching coach. I’m excited

Yep. Lots of quality depth/competition. Amazing the overall roster improvement in one year. My question regarding Joubert is how his HR total is affected if he is able to up the BA? Time will tell.
Tangent - Are Noot and the Vandy transfer the only two real people to be concerned about?
Thanks Bay

And there’s no guarantee he’ll see ABs at DH competing with White, Beloso, Dugas, and potentially Neal, Jones, and Frey, maybe Travinski.

Yes, Vandy transfer has more of a chance than Noot.
Probably put Noot at 90%/10% making it to campus and Carter Young at 75%/25%.
Personally, I think they will both be at LSU.

Looks like Jacob Berry signed for $6MM, about $37k below slot.

That's odd. He had all the bargaining power in the world.

But at the same time, its hard to imagine he gets drafted much higher.

That and Most people wouldn't worry about 37K when your getting 6MM
