When evaluating a man, never discount heart or personal motivation. It’s never seen on a resume. LSU fans weren’t incorrect when evaluating his body of work, but failed at the human spirit of Coach O.

I did not like the hire but I was cautiously optimistic. I wanted him to prove me wrong. I was terrified that he would not prove me wrong after the first couple years.

I am happy to be wrong, and hope he can finish this season out with a championship.

Last night was awesome. Incredible. Spectacular. But I'm going to maintain the position I've always taken: I'll judge O on the full season. I'm not satisfied yet. I want to win the conference and the NC, if possible. I dont think the team is satisfied either.

I never thought he would assemble a staff that resembles a Pro football staff..

O has earned every ounce of respect that he’s getting and he will be a better coach for it. Staring the offensive issue in the face, being humble enough to bring in someone young and inexperienced, and giving them the opportunity to unleash, was a bold move that has worked out better than anyone could have expected.

My biggest fear with Orgeron was that we'd still be stuck on the same 3 or 4 loss plateau that Les left us on. Good, but not championship level good.

I'm happy to say we aren't stuck anymore. Hiring Brady to revolutionize the offense might go down as one of the biggest hires in program history, and Orgeron deserves the credit.

The moment I saw that after game CBS interview with him and his wife’s emotion of happiness they exuded for the players and the state of Louisiana, I couldn’t have been more wrong about Coach O and his abilities.

I'll take this a step further...

Because of some of his past exploits, I didn't really believe he gave a damn about LSU except from a selfish point of view.

but that post game interview made me have to walk out of the room and reconsider

The guy is about as passionate and sincere as you could ever imagine. I loved it

Have to eat crow for sure. When he was hired, I was devastated that O was named our coach of fear we would become Ole Miss. Each year he did what he had to do to finally get his vision in place. I can’t say how wrong I was in my thinking. I thought Jimbo was our missed opportunity (and to see how that’s turning out, lol!)
To Coach O, I apologize for my doubts and can’t be happier that I was wrong. The way you represent our University and our state, is second to none. Your passion and heart you show makes me believe you were/are the best fit for LSU and Louisiana.

a job well done so far.

50 years from now Coach O will be regarded as the greatest Coach in LSU history.

So far my arse...he has accomplished in a few years what few have done in their entire careers...and the sky is the limit. O is Louisiana State University.

Anyone who thinks a team can be turned around in one year is a moron. Yes the first years were struggles offensively...but the decisions made from day one led up to today...and tomorrow, well LSU is here to stay.

I said the same thing last night.

However, Orgeron had me won over before this game. Win or lose, it was clear that O had the program heading in the right direction before last night.

Roll tide, what?? frick them.

Don’t like the way the hire was done but once Woodard was hired it became easier to accept because I knew there would be standards going forward.

Orgeron has surpassed expectations but he has also had good support.

He still needs to get rid of Meatball but everyone has their blind spots
