My biggest complaint/suggestion concerns the student section
To those that started the 7 Nation Army chant, you should be permanently barred from ever attending another LSU athletic event

The student section entrance was unfathomably terrible.
Horrid planning, no direction, not enough Id checkers, overagressive police force.
It was so awful I know large numbers of students who bailed instead of attending.
They eventually gave up and just let everyone in and will award everyone priority points.
The pollce who were over there need some manmandatory continuing education on how to deal with crowds. They were wildly inappropriate imo.
"get out of line and go back around or you are going to jail" isnt the best way to start a conversation imho.

The piped in music was not played over the band. They waited until the band finished and would play for the 20 or so seconds from the end of the band's song, until the tv timeout ended.
My complaint: tell the motorcycle cops in front of the band that we aren't there to see them. The band stopped about 20 yards in front of us, and we couldn't hear the drums. Only when the horns sounded could we hear the band. Why? Because motorcycle cops were revving their engines. Isn't there a dog somewhere they could be shooting instead?

Anybody that was doing the wave in second quarter is a horrible human being

The worst part of every sporting event...I hate the wave.

My biggest complaint of the night was that it took us 30 minutes to get in the stadium through the security line.
Consider yourself lucky. You should have seen the cluster frick going on at the student gates.

I was in the band when I was at LSU and I pay attention to the pregame show 1) because I enjoy it and 2) because at the first game, I like to see if there are any changes to it. When they made the tunnel for the team to run through, the piped in hype music played over them while the band was playing. Hopefully it was just a one time mistake.

The music was too damn loud, and the sweetheart at the concessions took FOUR tries on her iPhone calculator to get the right total on my five items. Her fabulous two inch nails were not helping.

Pretty sure the delay had something to do with this. TV showed the team had come out of the locker room, and TGBFTL was still doing the Go Tigers cheer in the LSU block formation. They still had to flip the LSU, then make the tunnel. The whole time, the team was out the locker room waiting to take the field. The team DID take the field before the band was even finished playing the music to make the tunnel, much less start playing Fight again. Timing was all screwed up.

Yeah, the student ticket line was an absolute nightmare. I stood in line for an hour and a half -- much longer than any game I've been to including Bama. If you need 10-15 cops for "crowd control" for the student ticket line, you're definitely doing it wrong. I also had friends who gave up and just returned to their tailgate to watch the game. Miserable.

The band has taken a severe nose dive since Wix left.

I watch the games on TV these days and I was stunned to hear the commentators making negative comments about the stadium being empty & then showing pictures of it. Why go and then miss the 2nd string defense pull off a red zone 4th down stand?...or all the other informative changes of players going on at the end? UAB revealed some definite needs the defense needs to address & they have beaten us before. These young men & coaches all work really hard to provide a good sport show for us...they deserve our full support. & it looks awful to see the stadium so empty instead! My 2 cents!

Those guys were behaving as if they were bouncers at a night club. Throwing kids out of the line, puffing up to anyone who would ask them questions. I can't imagine what its going to be like for the games that actually matter.

I sit in North 244, up against the east wall and I want to file a class action lawsuit against LSU and whoever the sound engineer/scoreboard dude/dudette is for hearing loss.
I figured it would be loud for those in the north, but it was hard to hear at times in the lower SW corner. They have to crank it up so the south end can hear. It will be better next year once the speakers are installed back in the south.

I agree. The student section lines were ridiculously long and slow moving. It took about an hour and half to get into the stadium.. don't remember anything like that in previous years! Thanks for the lightening for delaying the kickoff time though.. :p
I had a mobile ticket and their scanner couldn't even read the QR codes.. the guy had to enter the ticket number manually.. wtf?! so why do they issue mobile tickets if they don't have a working scanner?! My ID wasn't swiped as well.
Hope they have a better system in place for student section entry for the next game!
Besides all these BS, it was a good game to watch! :)

What were some of the songs played?
So far we've got:
1. Ying Yang Twins - Halftime (what some of you call Stand Up and Get Crunk)
2. Queen - We Will Rock You
3. Ozzy Osbourne (I assume crazy train?)
What were some of the others?
No Calling Baton Rouge or In The Air Tonight remix?
