He could be our shortstop in 2016

Mainieri has already said he is grooming K Rob for that.

He's not that bad. He will have a good chance to win a spot in the infield next year.

Grayson Bryd will have a very good career at LSU.

Lairds arm is a 20 but his fielding is an 80. It's not just his speed that makes him the great OF he is. It's his judgment and great reaction/first step.
I'd also have Stevenson's speed at 80. If he isn't, who is?

fraley and stevenson are basically the same size.
where does fraley's power come from? And why does stevenson have so little power?

He was drafted in the 39th round of this year’s MLB Draft and would definitely have been drafted in the top 10 rounds if his commitment to LSU wasn’t so strong

An 80 speed wise would be a guy like Billy Hamilton on Cincinnati or Royals pinch runner Terrance Gore.
It's hard for me to give out an 80 unless they are head and shoulders above everyone else and without question at the peak of their tool.

Two different swings and approach at the plate.
When Stevenson switched his load pre swing it allowed him to drive the bat on a level plane which is great for shots up the middle and line drive power but leaves little carry on the ones he does square up to.

@BarrecaAdvocate: Fun #LSU BSB fact of the day: Mark Laird's range factor (ability to reach a batted ball) is 2.35. Highest ever recorded by a RF: 2.81.
Hmmmmm.

I jinxed Laird at the end of 2013 season with a thread about our entire outfield and he didn't make an error the entire next year.
I think he's good.
