That's about what I thought. Just curious on others opinions regarding that. Thanks.

Expanding on what he said LSU has recruited and is very fortunate that most the the athletes are very above average defensively.
Typically in highschool you're best athletes are SS and CF.
Laird, Stevenson, Fraley, Foster, and Sciambra have all played CF.
Bregman, Robertson, Deichmann, and Bryd have all played SS.
In college you mold them into positions in a way you can best work the lineup

Adam, thanks for the work you put into this thread. I enjoy coming to read and discuss the team. I would love to make it to scrimmages but cant due to my work, so thanks to you and others for keeping us updated

Zardon has big shoes to fill, replacing one of LSU's best defensive third basemen.
We were spoiled by Ibarra making tough plays look routine.

Agreed. Dude was a stud with the glove. Hard to replace that, but I have a good feeling about Zardon.

50....
Is that based on the group's potential, your prediction, or what their production has been to this point?

I don't want to see Byrd at 3rd based on what I saw in fall ball.

Alex Bregman
Fielding----65
I agree with that. His kamikaze like approach to alot of groundballs drops him a slight amount for me.
Wish there was a baserunning category. Dude is a 75 if so.

You suggested it if things don't work out with the obvious front runners. I'd much rather see Bryce Jordan at 3rd in those situations.

This is a great way to describe his charge and throw on the run without setting his feet approach even when not necessary approach to many ground balls.

Yeah.
He do or die's it more than needed. Usually works out okay though, his success rate is pretty good.

No doubt. It is not textbook SS play, but it works for him.

He will be this year's Dakota Dean.
