On paper, this one is a blowout and I would normally say 3 touchdowns but coming off the emotional win vs Bama and the Orgeron/rivalry factor curbs it a bit- I say

LSU 49
Ole Miss 29

LSU 56-23.

Burrow throws for 5 TDs against the weak pass defense. Davis-Price blows up an Ole Miss safety for a TD. Edwards-Helaire scores 2 TDs.

This game usually is closer than it should be.

I'm in line with your track of thinking. LSU definitely wins this game but if you look at the last 4 Ole Miss games they have actually been pretty good and LSU might be a little hungover from winning against such a quality opponent. Either way I believe LSU wins by 2 scores minimum. I don't believe it will be a blowout like it should be but a valuable lesson for the LSU players going forward

With a Bama hangover, it’ll be closer than we’d like for a while. But O is more motivated to beat Ole Miss than anyone else on our schedule.

Tigers 41, Black Bears 20

John Emery is back. LSU's stable of running backs excel.

Dunkel Line

I remember they used to print the Dunkel Index in the Shreveport Times every week during the football season back in the 1960s. It helped in filling out my Jax Pick The Winner forms back in the day, though they didn't factor in HFA in the spread (they just placed an asterisk by the name of the hometeam).
