Mmmm, I love me some 5 star players, and we should only recruit 5 star players cuz there are so many of them and they all want to attend and play for LSU,

So if you are whining about the attrition, then why are you whining that he hasn't offered someone like Lindsay this year? Lindsay isn't as good of a prospect as guys like Ainsworth, Lonergan, Parsons, Lowe, etc; so there is a chance he could have ended up transferring down the line due to a "lack of playing time". Just like another former Houston prospect in Matt Allen did. Lindsay was not a "great OL prospect", look at where he is rated.

Shaw, Faulk, Hardrick. It could be a lot worse than that. And if worse comes to worse, simply move Barksdale.

Collins will be the first one from Louisiana since Whitworth. There are quite a few positions besides OL we haven't had a 5* in awhile.

All that being said do you think the OL is weak or a weaklink? I don't.

aint this true. He is probably my least favorite poster on this site, and he thinks he is the fricking man when it comes to life. He's just a pathetic old piece of shite who knows little about football and is an embarrassment to the LSU community.

Hell, at least LSU players won't have to "think" anymore

Is the guy that said Haley was a bad hire because he played LB not DL.

i'm more speaking of 2008 though. our OL was very underwhelming after having a full year/offseason under stud/crowton

I don't understand why you think it was underwhelming. We ran the ball extremely well last year due to our OL opening some big holes all year. We completely gashed Alabama's "great" run D for over 200 yards. We did struggle with Florida though (so did everyone pretty much).

We also pass blocked very well. Before you throw out that we finished 45th in the nation in sacks allowed (22 in 13 games) which is merely average consider the fact a young QB in Jefferson got a lot of those in the last couple games running around just trying to make a play (not the OL fault). Jefferson got sacked 9 times in the final 2.5 games he played in. So in the first 10.5 games Lee and Hatch were sacked a total of only 13 times which is extremely good pass blocking.

SCREW any kid who bitches about being recruited by the two-time running #1 recruiter in the nation.

I mean, seriously... we aren't recruiting him hard enough. Who the frick is he? He's the product of an entitled-mentality, middle-upper-class, wannabe-money, its-all-about-us parenting arrangement.

fricking useless Woodlands elites.

(note: not all Woodlandsers are POS, just the "upwardly mobile elitist Starbucks and veggie ones)

We were all of the opinion that a former OL like Miles should be able to raise the bar and bring in higher quality OL's. Maybe if he raises the bar, he wont have to convert so many defensive linemen. (Hitt, Barksdale, Blackwell).......

Yea, it really has hurt the Oline play

You are all from shite on this, looking for another reason to be critical of CLM.

Offensive line attrition under former OL Les Miles
TigerTap, football fans are much less patient in the '00s, than in the 60's-70's. If less has caught hell for 10-2 seasons, do you really think if Charlie Mac were coaching at LSU today with his old results he would have lasted 18 seasons.

Only because fans are far less knowledgeable, patient and mature than they were back then. The intant gratification crowd is loud and ever present. Much to the detriment of college football in general.

Make no mistake, the only annoyance TigerBandAlumnus82 , has is that Les Miles is the Head Coach of the LSU Tigers & nothing else.
Well, that and the fact LSU has African American football players.

Otherwise, hes straight up
