O says John Robinson told him that the younger backs need to be worked in quicker in significant roles.

Clyde is a damn good RB, but Emery and TDP add a different dimension to this offense. I'm excited to see them get more PT and make an impact.
quote:

Oregeron: We need to get these guys in more significant reps, to get them in a rotation in the first and second quarter so they can be more prepared to win in the heat of the battle and we can trust them to make the right play.

This is one of those things where it sounds like the coach is saying he wants to do something when really he's saying he wants the players to earn something.

He said that about Sullivan last week and he was damn near targeted every play to start the game. The young backs are on notice to get ready.

If CEH goes down with an injury, we need the young guys to have real game experience, not just garbage time. Need to work them in earlier in the game for these next two to get ready for the meat of our schedule.

Price looks ready. I think we should definitely see what he can do up against Florida, etc.

Give Price a heavy load between now and Fla, see how reliable, if he fumbles any. He's definitely a beast to bring down.

vs Vandy we should start CEH, 2nd drive TDP (since it seems like he's higher on the depth chart), 3rd drive Emery and then whoever had the best drive gets the next drive and go from there

This could be true, but I expect the run game to take an uptick this week.
They’ll put an emphasis on it with OL this week and those young boys will be hungry.

We will still throw for a shite ton too!

I can see them getting more reps in general, but I doubt you see renewed emphasis on running the ball this week — Vandy’s most glaring weakness appears to be pass defense

I really like the way Orgeron communicated this. He continues to show how he trusts his coaches. That breeds confidence by them in their head coach. I don't care what anyone thought back at the time of his hiring ... Ed is doing a fantastic job of running the program. He is creating better coaches on his staff by giving them the credit and the trust to do their jobs.

I'm no expert, but I did't care for the way Price lowered his head that low when he approached that defender. Seems like a good way to get hurt.

He's a bad dude though. No doubt.

coach robinson is correct

even though we mainly stressed working on passing we need the youngsters in there for blocking and receiving also not just running.

Miles used to say the same shite.

If you're the head coach, then you can make it happen if you want to.
