This is always funny to me. You are the head coach, you want em getting more touches earlier, put em in.

O is not alone in this club, all coaches do it. A coach can't control everything of course, but he can always determine who is playing.

This is old news. Old USC coach that O hired in July as his personal consultant.

LSU announced that Ed Orgeron will get an assist from another former USC head coach John Robinson this upcoming season, as a senior consultant to the head coach. Robinson will assist Orgeron as a consultant to daily planning of practice, personnel and game planning.

This is one of those things where it sounds like the coach is saying he wants to do something when really he's saying he wants the players to earn something.

Coach is right but so is this.

best fix is to get up early, take Joe out and then let the freshmen get in to prove or not prove themselves - then it will all be on their performance. This also removes the fear of them not picking up in pass protection as well, since Joe wouldn't be out there.

But you have got to get up fast and early to make this whole thing workout.

Lets do it for Vandy!

No. You are mistaken. This story is about JOHN ROBINSON, not Tommie.

How is TDP higher on the depth chart when Emery went in first vs GS and NWST ?

Miles used to say the same shite.

If you're the head coach, then you can make it happen if you want to.

Head coaches generally let the assistants handle substitution patterns. Too much going on during the game for the head coach to be worried about playing time for every position.

He is saying now that he expects his assistants to handle it differently on Saturday.

This is the second year in a row that we don’t have an elite RB to start and 2-3 more behind him.

I love CEH but he and Brossette are not Fournette or Guice etc.

Let’s get back to playing 3-4 RBs a game.

What happened to Curry?

Give Price a heavy load between now and Fla, see how reliable, if he fumbles any. He's definitely a beast to bring down.

I'd like to see Emery get carries too. TDP had a better game Saturday, but Emery got swallowed at the LOS on his carries and never had a chance.

I would want Joe in there to insure all communication was the same. Look, the kids gotta get ready, Kamara learned if for the love of God, it aint rocket surgery.

I think the only thing this offense is missing is a dynamic running back. Someone that can turn that little outlet into a 5+ yard gain. I know everyone says this is the Saints offense, but it is much more up tempo, no huddle. It is the layered receiver routes but lacks a dynamic running back right now. From all I heard about Emery, Price looks like the more polished option now. most important for this offense is that the RB can block the blitz on 3rd down.

They can’t earn unless they’re given the opportunity. Did we recruit them to block or run the ball? (Yes, i know they have to block as well!)

People on this board sometimes forget that the players go to practice.

realistically as good as CEH is, he can't be our only back.

would like to see TDP get involved in the power running game some more (even Baylor had a couple bruisers) and i would love to see Emery get involved in some passes.

He needs to work on his vision, but for now, get him the ball in space and let him break some ankles.
