Only for the rest of the year. Run a real coaching search.

Would help us keep the 53 active 4/5 star players on the team. I would still go after "Proven Winner"

I think at this point we need to start from scratch.

If the new head coach wants the coordinators, so be it. If not, time to move on.

And no for Aranda as HC.

Aranda has proved his worth to be retained no matter what.

BUT we shouldn't fire for CAUSE (as I outlined based on Os contract) it would be BETTER, just to throw away millions??

Not if a potential quality HC hire is at stake. If the new HC didn't want him, then he can hit the road. The program can't be built around the defensive coordinator that probably won't even be here in two years.

Brando brought this up during our piss poor search. You can't tell incoming coaches that they HAVE to keep coordinators. It can turn a coach off. If he wants Aranda, fine. But you can't make it a stipulation.

Not that I'm a huge fan of Brando, but he's right in this case.

Your title sucks, but no to this as well if it includes Alleva staying.

Alleva is the cancer that is killing this program. He needs to go before anyone else even thinks about coaches.

The time to experiment with an unproven but talented first time head coach would have been last year. At this point LSU needs a HC with a track record and stability.

No hire is guaranteed but we can't just throw common sense to the wind. I like Aranda, but whoever the new HC is has to be free to choose his own staff.

Well, our dalliance with a proven, untalented second-time coach hasn't gone well so we can rule out that strategy.
