Zero patience should be needed with 3 straight top 5 recruiting classes.

To be fair, a team in our division has been #1 or #2 all three of those years.

Anything less than 10-2 and O should be fired

Who is the experienced QB? I don't consider Brennan, who started three games, experienced!

Brennan has been at LSU since the civil rights movement. He has played in games since 2017, played in the playoffs in 2019 and was the starter last year until he got hurt. He is experienced and looked good last year when he played. Bama and aTm won't have QBs as experienced as him (or Max Johnson and Finley for that matter as they have all been the starter).

No one is firing a coach for winning 8 or 9 games two years after having the best season in the history of college football.

That's quite a statement, coming from a Saints talk regular...

But you're not going to mention the main 2 that the crimson midget coveted (Maason Smith and Sage Ryan) that O kept from signing with the little bastard.

I’d give him a sliding in, barely beat the throw, double...not even close to a HR!

Terrible take.

It is time we stop using this as an excuse!

Other teams come in with true freshmen and light it up every year.

Brennan- Joined 2017, will be 5 years into this program and 22 years old when the season starts.

Max Johnson- Started at the end of last year and won 2 big games. He is fine, showed he can handle game pressure, with an offseason to practice.

Finley- Started a few games.

We will be experienced with Brennan and Johnson

Totally frick all that patience BS!

Yall Nuts that Pump already got the excuses fired up and rolling.

10-2 minimum or GTFO for Orgeron and crew.

Enough time has been wasted.

I like all the new hires except for the DC, who should be the DB Coach. The new LB Coach should be the DC.

Joneshoyang doesn't have the experience to be a DC in the SEC West. Not even close.

How long before BB is prompted to Co-DC for running game defense?

Third best class in the country after a dismal 5-5 season, yes that would be considered a fricking HR.

think LSU can and should compete for the national title in 2021. If we don’t make the playoffs we should be extremely close.

I dont really see that happening for a number of reasons. Inexperienced QB's, questionable talent level on defense at all 3 levels from what it looks like from watching the 2020 season, and a new D staff. But the biggest reason of all is that Bama has just gone to a totally different level of talent stacked at every position compared to not only LSU, but to every team in the country and we just so happen to be not only in the same conference, but the same division within that conference.
We can have a competitive season, hopefully just a 2 (maybe even 1 loss) loss season with some breaks going our way.
We have some talent on offense, and some pretty good QB's, just not NC type talent IMO. Defense also in theory should be pretty good, but has a long long way to go to come back from that 2020 season.
Going to be a very interesting season regardless. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Patience, what patience? We didnt even need patience to get to that NC. Looks to me like we are building back into a playoff type team with the way recruiting went in 2021 and 2022 is starting off even better.

That was pretty impressive, as were the new staff hires. Getting off to a good start in the 2022 class as well. The program is looking to be on solid ground.

How am I being negative because I believe LSU has the players in place to be a successful and winning football team this season? If they are not I believe the coaches need to be held accountable. I don’t understand why that’s such an outrageous sentiment for many on here.

sounds reasonable to me, and the coaches should always be held accountable and always have been.

fans can demand whatever they want, it really isn't going to change what happens. Just got to let the season play out.
