We should say anything less than 14-0. The 12 regular season games and then the playoffs. Why not?

You don't understand TD has a 1000 head coaches. They are all so good they don't have to even have ever be on campus, know players, design a gameplan or call one play! YES! There are that good !

That patience was exercised and spent in 2020. O has used the last mulligan.

Who is the experienced QB? I don't consider Brennan, who started three games, experienced!

Considering Brennan broke LSU's first 3 start passing records and I think first three games to start a season passing records and was near the top in national statistics, along with a few pre-victory formation snaps the year before I'd disagree.

O won’t get any credit from these armchair Quarterbacks.
This is the Rant after all.

[quote]I can't say enough about O and the incredible job he did in recruiting, considering we went 5-5 and were just flat out embarrassed in some games.[/quote

The checks must be big and clearing .

Certainly sounds like it. Clemson, Ohio State, and Alabama expect to win all of their games, every season. That is the standard and culture that has been established at those programs. The facilities and athletes at LSU are capable of meeting that standard. Last year had some major culture and coaching voids that hopefully have been corrected and will not be replicated again. O has to establish and sustain an identity for his program vs trying to reinvent the magic from seasons past.

Back to posting Derek? Guess you have to praise the recruiting, given O’s mentions of you. And I’m sure you’d hate to have to look for a job with your record and all.

bullshite. We have 3 guys who started multiple games. If anything QB experience is the least of the worries.

10 should be a reasonable goal. 9 would be disappointing

10 wins minimum or it’s a disappointing season.

You have 3 QB’s on the roster with multiple SEC starts under their belt.

It’s not a full season of starting but they should all know and understand the speed of the game at this point. That’s the difference between inexperienced and experienced at this level too me.

I mean, things need to get back on track now, not 2023. By that I mean no, I dont expect us to compete for a title this upcoming season, but I expect a very good season, 9-10 wins in 12 regular season games. Going 8-4 or worse simply wouldnt be acceptable when we return what we did. I would almsot argue 9-3 is a bit disappointing, but if some things dont fall our way could see how that isn't "this fking sucks" territory.

I agree with this.

8-4 or worse... WTF, not good
9-3 ... okay, at least we’ve recovered from 2020 disaster
10-2 or better ... very good, we’re back on track and ready for a title run in 2022/23

I don't count a QB with 3 starts experienced, especially in the SEC. Do you not remember two of those guys who played last year were true freshman? You clearly have no clue about college football if you think we have an experienced QB heading into next year!

10-2 is the floor with all the returning line starters. I don’t think this is a building year prepping for a title run. The lines are stacked now and we’ll be losing a lot from both after this year.

At the very least, we’ll have two SEC tested QBs on the roster in case one goes down. The RB room is stacked. If the O Line gets it together, the offense will be great.

Out D Line is stacked and had lots of leadership. LBers and safeties are a concern, but honestly, we have no clue what we have here. Pelini fricked shite up beyond recognition. We just have to wait and see.

If these young coaches work their asses off and whip this team into shape, the time for a title run is now. I think we’ll be pleasantly surprised. We might scrape by at first, but I think we finish 11-1 and are in the playoff convo.
