Comparing Orgeron to Chizik?

Amazing!

I wonder why no one did that before?

Another great ground breaking analysis. However do you do this?

Imagine coming to the rant to post the phrase “lightning in a bottle” followed by a gene chizick comparison. This place has turned into a bug zapper for morons to fly to.

I'll take it.

It does look a lot like Auburn 2010, and that's okay.

Crazy to say anyone was better than Cam Newton at a collegiate level, but Burrow was even better than Newton.

Orgeron Record

2016 as interim: 6-2

2017: 9-4

2018: 10-3

2019: 15-0

2020: 3-4 (with most likely 2 more losses and 1 more win so let’s just say 3-6)
All with a historical pandemic affected season with starting QB getting injured along with major opt outs and turnover)

With all of this he has the #3 recruiting class IN THE NATION with several major players left to fill the class. Will be a top a top 5 class regardless (probably higher).

Gene Chizik

2009: 8-5

2010: 14-0 (cam)

2011: 8-5

2012: 3-9 (without a pandemic nor the injuries and near the turnover LSU faces this year. Also their recruiting classes were outside the top 10

This program is set up for major sustained success under Coach O with the right coordinater hires. Chizik was a DC who indeed got lucky with Cam but is not near the motivator/manager/recruiter that Coach O is. Period. It’s lazy and too easy to make that comparison.
