just the pocket has been so clean and his decision making has been so sharp he has not had to use his legs to scramble and pick up first downs YET.
He picked up a first down with his legs last game

Oh I know and he looked more than capable and it was awesome to see that in his bag if/when he needs it.
Should have acknowledged that run this past week. Guess I meant he hasn’t had to use it much yet

Nuss hasn’t run much because he hasn’t had too. Pass blocking has kept him protected and given him time to find receivers.

if he doesn't take us there, i would not fault him
we had a heisman winner that could not overcome defensive deficiencies
so that's not on the QB

eckspecially if the coaches stubbornly force him to hand the ball off when he is effortlessly executing the pass plays

Nuss can scramble at least as effectively as JJ McCarthy and Stetson Bennet, and better than Mac Jones. The last three QBs to win a natty. So I'm not sure what you're talking about.

You act like that’s a bad thing?
Still better than the current Heisman favorite Quinn Ewers, right?
Jaxon Dart has played Furman & Middle Tennessee

I don't know anyone who thought he was.

if you can't run as a quarterback, you're not going to win 50% of your games.
This is a stupid take

I'm sorry but Nussmeier can't scramble.
Lets see???
75% completion rate
no sacks
longest run of the game for team vs NSU

I say it again -- I would love to see the teams of some of the rant coaches !

Go watch his play vs Georgia in the Championship game a couple years ago.
We can't afford to have him running. No one on the bench gives us a chance.

He can run, we need him to run a little on the RPO, but we can't afford to have him run.
It's not a great situation to be in, but he needs to roll out and if it's open take the 4-5 yards and get down. We need Def to respect it for the middle to open up some.

Who said it was a bad thing. Just stating a fact.
The guy cannot suck with those stats.

I agree with you. 90% of what I read on here is BS. My point that I responded to was the claim that Nuss cant scramble. His big attribute as a recruit was his ability to extend the play from a passing perspective. He does not run for plus yds much but he avoids the rush well.

I bet he throws 2 this weekend.
I doubt it, if the team rushes for a couple hundred yards. If we can't run the ball and he is forced to take chances, maybe.
