If you were to catch on fire, I will gladly put you out with a rusty chain.

Well that’s one less thing the team has to worry about entering next season. Hope he continues to get better.

Funny that everyone's down voting you. Bryce Underwood ditching us doesn't make Nuss our savior. I'm glad Nuss is back but nothing should be guaranteed. He didn't have good games to close the year out either.

I said this before and I'll say it again, it's insane how we can spend a whole season thinking we need an upgrade at certain positions and then we are cheering in the off-season when we exhaust resources in retention. I know the Nuss situation isn't the same as the Sage Ryan, Burns situations but hell people, how do you do this every year?

That coincided with Dellinger being out and Frazier part of the Florida game as well.

Swan and Hurley aren’t going to be the guys for next year and we aren’t going to get a top level starter from the portal with Nuss. He’s the guy for next year and the hope is he will improve in the areas he was bad (ball security and pocket awareness/feel).

I certainly agree that Hurley, Swan and any other QB that LSU signs (either high school recruit or transfer) should be allowed to compete for the job.

I look forward to a competitive spring and hope all the QB's will be healthy and ready to go.

I hope and think that Hurley will be even a tougher competitor, since he has now been around the program for a year.

QB's like Burrow and Daniels don't come around very often.

He got 1.5 mil.

The money BK promised would fo to aggressively upgrading went to retention.

If anyone was in doubt then you haven't followed the kid.
He waited his turn, he didn't transfer when offered more $$ to leave. His family is well off and he's gonna make alot of NIL money himself.
So why would.he leave after winning nothing and waiting like he did? Bc he was never leaving

He had arguably his best 2 games of the season to close out the year. I think Nuss got into trouble this year when he tried to do too much himself. He will continue to grow and learn through that. But there was great improvement in the last 2 games.

I don’t care what anyone says, Nuss staying is huge! Burrow and Daniel’s progression from one year to the next are perfect examples.

Exactly this! Nuss' 2024 started great, went mediocre to bad, then ended great. People and "Fans" forget this was his FIRST year as a starter. I was disappointed how he had bad performances in the big time games this year, but understood that's only his first year starting.

It's funny that in NFL everybody says & believes that an average performing rookie (after starting experience in college) QB will take the next step in his 2nd year but at the same time they are dismissing a 22yr old first year collegiate starter won't improve going into his 2nd year. It's especially ridiculous after LSU witnessed this not once but twice in the last 5 years with Joe Burrow & Jayden Daniels having decent seasons in year 1 starting here then absolutely transforming their game to become Heisman Trophy winners! It's unfair to expect Nuss to improve that much to where he wins the Heisman, but it should be absolutely expected and believable that he can improve all areas of his game just as Burrow & Daniels did.
