That’s fine, but Frank isn’t HC. He has nothing on the line. You’re an interim coach with 3 games left, the next coming off a bye vs a top 5 conference opponent. If ever there was a time to not be conservative, this would be that time.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but that's not his personality and not what he's been tasked to do. He's trying to keep the program on the rails for recruiting and coach search purposes.

I don't understand why people think you should waste his red shirt on a season that is basically over.

I don’t understand why I should care about a redshirt in 2025.

Nuss is a good qb. He was hurt and his hc played him against warmup games, so 5 games he played hurt. Then oline showed itself to be poo in every meaningful game. Oc went away from running with rbs against vandy and atm, and refused to run against light fronts at ole miss. None of which is on nuss. When hes calling a 0 yd out out of a timeout on 3rd and 7, with 23 seconds in 2nd qtr and no timeout, tells you all you need to know.

We also average 3rd and longest avg distance in the nation. If anything, you take nuss off the team we probably lose to clemson. It amazes me people cant see this. Entire offense is predicated on him making 3rd and 10+ 4 times on a drive, every scoring drive.

Hell, atm... if we just run the fing ball, after their 1st drive score in the 3rd, it could have slowed the game down vs the throat punch the return td delivered. Even after that the oc went chicken shite air raid instead of a good sustained drive to get back in the game.

I think they just need to run 2 min offense all the time. Offense thinks too much, too many substitutions, etc. Makes us inefficient. Line up, get the call, pass or run, read the box, shift to best fit per nuss, snap.

Anything 3rd and 1, 4th and 1, rep read option, few plays with mvb since we all feel nuss is missing that fear of running. Or just run our fing rbs... crazy idea. Maybe thats what frank meant when he said if theres chances, looks to get mvp involved they will. Have mvb run qb sneak not your ab strain qb. Basic shite

We'll find out soon enough if it was Nuss, the game plan, the playbook, coaching, or a combination of all of it soon enough.

Here we go again.

4k yards isn't some mythical stat while you ignore his SEC passing stats.

He's a 59% career completion agaisnt SEC teams with more turnovers than TDs.

But go ahead, keep pumping him up and making excuses.

What I remember from August is that MVB is VERY inefficient at the position.
. That was pretty universally reported during camp.

But…. Rohan then came out and said he (meaning Rohan) was absolutely terrible in practice. He’s a gamer. Once the lights are on and he’s out there he played well.

Maybe MVB is the same way. Maybe he’s just a gamer and we need to put him in a game.

In any case it isn’t like MVB can do much worse. An L is still counted as an L.

TF do they see that no one else outside of football ops is seeing?

They see a young QB missing open WR when there is no defense on the field. He was missing them in the warm-ups at the aTm game.

We really need to temper our expectations for MVB. I think he will get playing time and maybe has some success, but let's not let our expectations get out of control.

MVB is more mobile than Nuss, but he still gets sacked. Hell he went in for the last 5 minutes of the aTm game and was sacked twice.

I hope he plays this weekend and does well, but let's stop pretending MVB is Burrow on the bench.

Hopefully he’s not trying to crawl off the field like metrenberger

Google "Jarrett Lee" or "Jamie Howard".

It can get much worse. So, SO much worse.

Additionally, most of those yards were against garbage teams. His SEC stats were mid.

People have a weird rosy memory of his performance last year but it really wasn't all that impressive. It was something he COULD have built on but unfortunately he regressed.

Nuss is not quick at all...it takes him too much time to get going...

Jarrett Lee was undefeated his senior year (the loss to Bama in the championship was JJ).

Jamie Howard was doing fine his Sr year as well until he got hurt in the Florida game. We lost the KY game because the didn’t play. He came back and got hurt again in the 3rd or 4th quarter of the Alabama game that we eventually lost 10-3.

Nuss had over 4000 yards last year. He needs to be healthy and have our OL block way better. Pretty simple.
great. But everyone can see he isn’t the same. And the OL isn’t going to block better. So why not try something that may improve our chances, you know, for all parties involved.

These are high expectations considering Frank has been a major reason that Berry hasn’t been getting more carries

Not saying what I’m expecting, just what I’d personally like to see on Saturday.

Thank you!!! Also adding in the amount of times we threw to get that 4k. Does it take some kind of talent sure. Between all the smoke of him not taking the off-season seriously and the stuff he said on a podcast it's no wonder. Everyone has grown tired of the "hit on the shoulder limp like you sprained your ankle" act players included

MVB can only play in two more games and still keep his redshirt...that will certainly be a consideration.
