He’s a grown man making millions of dollars. “Kids” his age are out there working actual jobs that do something for society

Once they got paid big money, all that went out the window. He has to put up or shut up, it’s that simple.

Once again, LSU will raise my season ticket and parking prices. I expect better for what I’m paying.

’m reading all these comments about people not feeling sorry for him because he’s a millionaire. I guess I’m a softy, because I do. That dude was all about LSU. Was he overrated? Yeah. Was he lazy during the offseason? Maybe.
I hear mixed reports, but most likely he didn’t prepare like he should have. Bottom line is he’s a kid, not even close to being fully developed mentally yet. When we were that age, none of us would have turned down millions. I don’t fault him.
I fault what this hand-out world has become. It’s ruining people. It would have ruined the majority of us too if we were handed all that money and entitlement. I hate what this world and game has become. So yeah, I feel sorry for him. He’s a heart broken kid and feels like a failure.

He's a fifth year Senior and his dad is supppose to be a great QB Coach. The kid doen't have it.

Quit making excuses for him Mrs. Nussmeiere

Despite my extremely harsh criticisms last night, I tend to agree and I do sympathize with him to some degree.

I have zero ill will towards the young man. It's just football at the end of the day.

Dude is not a Kid. He is a 21 year old professional making around $2 million a year with NiL and Endorsements. Save the BS for somebody else!!

nah. now it is BUSINESS. and once you want to get paid you need to treat this as a job and once you do that you WILL have a target on your back like all of us in the real world. you either perform of you lose money aka get fired.

this is what they wanted. reap what you sow. They will now draw the ire and boos and other things like NFL players do when they fail at their job.

Any guy who wants to make it in the NFL works hard to achieve that goal whether they receive NIL funds or not. All I see is a soft guy who hasn't put in the work and has let his team down. His pre-snap reads suck and I don't think his brain is fast enough to be successful vs SEC competition. I don't feel sorry for him as he has regressed from game 1 to now. He surely hasn't put in even 30% of the work Burrow and Jaden did and it shows no matter who is playing on the OL in any game.

I question whether or not he had the drive/desire to be great.

23 years old and already so far ahead in life financially due to NIL. Free education. Millions in NIL. Dude don't know what struggling is.

Nuss Bust can sit the bench and cry for the rest of the season or even quit the team. Don't care.

Life is a beotch. A lot of people learn things the hard way with serious pain and consequences involved. There isn't anything tough about what Nuss has gone through. No pain. No suffering. He's living in fantasy land.

His college football career didn't go the way he hoped/planned. So what! Again, he got a free education with over a million in NIL. He made connections he can fall back on. His dad is an NFL coach with connections in the league so his path to coaching if he chooses is way easier than most.

I have zero empathy for that young man. He still has a silver spoon in his mouth.

The players wanted to get paid. once you are paid you have responsibilities and can’t use the “I am just a kid “ excuse anymore. This is NFL lite now

He took a significant sum of money to play QB at LSU and has performed poorly with some of that within his control and some not. He is the face of a bad season for LSU and people don’t want to see it anymore.

I mean, it sucks for him but let’s not act like he SHOULD ever have to worry about money again. It’s not like this was his only shot between living a luxurious lifestyle and being on the streets.

This is no different than any other college kid not finding a job in their field after “graduation”.

I completely understand that sentiment. What's wild is that he was a Heisman hopeful at the start of the season. I have to wonder if he was just injured in some way that affected him greatly.

It's over now anyways.

And the other part of the equation was that he was handed the starting job with no competition. Not a good thing. He should have entered fall camp knowing he had to win the job.

How did Nuss manage 4,052 passing yards 29 touchdowns to only 12 int last year? Come on people, its not rocket surgery!

Ol Coaching bad
RB Coaching bad
Wr coaching Real Bad
Offensive Coordinator bad, no horrible
Sub Par Wr's
Sub Par OL (inexperienced O Linemen)

If you cannot accept these at least as part of the blame you may want to start practicing your excuses for MVB next year.

Agree with OP. It's easy to forget that all these people we adults get so pissed off at for screwing up in football really are kids, many of them only teenagers. Furious at Carius Curne for all the false starts? He's 18! I feel embarrassed for myself sometimes when I get so mad at these kids.
