While I like your idea of all the teams above you losing a game or actually 2 games, it ain't gonna happen. To be honest, watching you and Alabama slowly grind it out, all I could think of was how slow your defenses were and how awful your offenses were. I'm afraid this is the year when your father's football schemes no longer work and the new schemes win.
On the out of bounds PI, I thought the LSU player grazed the WR. On the fair catch, it should have been a penalty. Hey, you won though. Screw the lousy refs.
Positive: You took USCe out of the NC conversation for a little bit. You beat an unbeaten team. Thank you, thank you.

Negative: Played well enough to have won by more.

Overall, nicely done. We do like it when undefeateds go down. Win out, and maybe we will see you in January.
I was sad to see Stanford go down to the Huskies. The Ducks needed another PAC12 team to be solidly ranked when we play them. We need the SOS. Maybe Oregon State or USC will get there, but I'm not feeling real confident.

I was really looking forward to playing either you or Alabama at the end of the year. We aren't getting any conference help. Our offense is still good but our defense is much better than when we played you. We might have a good game this time.

I predict a big blowout against the Huskies. They come to Autzen. Stanford has a big D-line and Oregon now does too, but Stanford doesn't have Oregon's speed on the D-line. UW couldn't keep the Stanford D-line out of the backfield but Price managed to escape them. That won't happen against the Ducks.. Of course I've been wrong before, but probably not about this one. Big blowout

Oregon will have no qualms about running up the score on Washington, not because they want style points, but because we really really do not like UW. UW is probably the most hated team on the Duck schedule. They don't like us either. As a matter of fact, they really hate us because we have taken their place as the premier team in the NorthWest and usually in the PAC10/12. Ok, USC sneaks in from time to time. (not this year)

The leghumpers at UW are so arrogant they like to compare themselves to Alabama, LSU, Ohio and USC as a "Big Time" program. Actually, UW had a run in the 1990's when they were pretty good, but it got cut short when they got caught cheating. This will be the 9th year in a row we have beat them and by more than 20 points except for last year it was only 17.

Speaking of Idaho, I had a Boise State fan come in for help in job search one day. He had no self-esteem and no girl friend. I told him to get one of those Speedo swim suits and then shove a long potato down his suit and see what happened when he hit the beach. He came back wearing his Speedo the next day very upset. "They were all laughing at me," he said. I looked at him, "No, no, you put the potato down the front of your suit, not the back."
Dayum, you guys eat bugs? Is that what happened to your tooth? HaHaHa. If LSU loses to UW, I'd say this isn't gonna be your year.

I was walking with a Husky fan the other day and he saw this dog licking his nether parts. The Husky fan said, "I wish I could do that." I told him, "Don't you think you should try petting the dog first?"
Will you feel like the new tOSU if you lose in the NCG again this year?
And all the Duck fans are doing:

.....The HAPPY DANCE!!!
:nana:  :nana:

happy happy joy joy.

As for the comments about Chip not doing a good job at TB. He has stated and practiced taking the personnel he has and making the team play to their strengths. He likes speed, but if all he has is water buffaloes, then he will see what he can do with them.

There are some who think that this whole thing was a recruiting ploy. Other teams say Oregon's offense isn't run in the pros so don't go to Oregon. Thanks to Tebow, and the Bucs, it looks a whole lot more legitimate. Now Oregon can say, come to Oregon, our head coach is wanted by the NFL but he decided to stay and teach you high schoolers how to get to the pros. Hey, it sounds good if you are a Duck fan.

See you in the NCG, if you can get there.
Oregon and LSU would be 1 and 2, but the order would change depending on what teams they beat that week. Right now LSU would be #1 due to the Alabama victory. If Oregon beats Stanford, they go back on top. I really wish we could have played the last game of the year instead of the first game. (DeAnthony Thomas holds the ball a little tighter now) It might still happen if enough teams lose. (I'm not holding my breath)

Most Ducks just want you to win out so we can say the only team to beat us was the #1 team in the country. I doubt we make it to the NCG, but no other losses and a victory in the Rose Bowl might leave us at #2 when the final polls are listed. I am assuming you win the NCG of course.

Is this the same Oregon team we played?
Not really. The new players have had a little time to gel. Now is when I would like to play you. I have to admit, I've been watching LSU and your team has also improved. Where did you find that offense? Best of luck the rest of the way.
quote:

Agree they are funny, but we scored 40 points not because our offense was great, but because we got 4 turnovers, two inside the 40 and one inside the 10 that was returned for a TD. We didn't score 40 points with a great offense and that's basically what these guys were getting at, they didn't factor 4 turnovers on their side of the field into their thinking.
This really hits it on the head. We had more yards gained, but not points scored. Barner is a junior, no excuse for his fumble and your TD. When we turned it over you did as good teams do, you took advantage. I was surprised actually at how well our D stopped your O. I was surprised at how fast your DE's were. Your secondary was as good as advertised. We have a good secondary, but you were great. It might have been a different game if Harris wasn't suspended, but you had players out too. I didn't understand why our QB, Thomas, didn't run until the 4th qtr. It was like part of the offense wasn't being used.

While I thought the two teams were more evenly matched than most here, you certainly won the day. It has been fun coming here and sometimes trading smack with you all and actually having discussions occasionally. Good luck the rest of the year and I hope we can play again. (we may have an opening in 2013 as it is rumored TN is backing out of coming to Oregon)

I didn't have a chance to watch this game until last night due to a wedding. Congrats on the win. Oregon's turnovers changed the game. LSU did exactly what a good team should do, they took advantage of Oregon's mistakes. The fumbles weren't all Oregon miscues, your defense helped, especially the first score on the fumbled punt. The stats were in Oregon's favor, but the score wasn't. If Oregon can improve it's ball security they might turn out to be a pretty good team. Good luck the rest of the way, we'll be rooting for you to go all the way.

If you truly would like to have someone bash your team, I'd be glad to help out. Are there any players in particular you would like me to ridicule? Or I could just take on groups, like your stump-footed D-Line or something like that.
GRTiger, you missed jogging to the local store and getting tissue to wipe away your tears after the tiggers go down badly.
Here's the current depth chart:

Lamichael James
Kenjon Barner
De'Anthony Thomas
Ayele Ford
Tra Carson
Lache Seastrunk

He probably wanted a little more playing time. That's ok, he has seemed to be a classy kid even when all the journalists around have been a-holes to him. I wish him all the very best.
If you really want to hurt the Ducks, don't open the roof, water the lawn. You are all power up the middle per what I've read on this board so a wet field won't hurt you much. We will beat you to the corners, LSU world class DE sprinters or not, so if we can't make the cuts, it changes the game.
LaBornNRaised,
I don't know what butthurt means. You obviously have experience, could you explain?
Barkrat fans, oops, for you Tiger fans who don't quite understand, it would be Beaver fans, love to hear the story of one of their big tough defensive tackles who sheepnapped a ram. OSU is an ag school. So this big tough dude took the ram in his pickup and got caught by the police. The ram was from a homosexual sheep study. Yes, the tackle stole a gay ram... Hmm... I don't want to know what he planned to do next. So now you know why it is called OSEwe. Eeeewwwww!!! (they don't like us very much)
O-Live is perhaps the worst place to go to find out what Oregon fans are thinking. I can't stand the drivel and pointless dick-wagging that goes on there. Any fan with half a clue won't waste their time on O-Live. So if you read it, forget it. Try the Scout or Rivals board for a better idea of what real Oregon fans are thinking.
One difference that will be interesting to watch is how Oregon plays on a dry field as compared to the slick wet field they had against Auburn. Most say the terrible footing in the NCG favored Auburn more than Oregon as it negated a lot of Oregon's speed.

So now we will find out. A good fast SEC defense, LSU, against the speedsters. Will the footing make any difference or not? I don't know, but it will be interesting for both fan bases to watch.

Ok, I hope it makes a lot difference and you guys get smoked. Of course if hopes were dollar bills, then I'd be on my South Pacific Island sipping fine beverages instead of talking with you all.
