He won 75% of his games…..something smells here.

But not the games that mettered most.
Difference between complacency and striving for excellence.

He was fired for being an a-hole, not for losing.

Really weak comparison if you are trying to make some correlation to lsu. Pelini hasn't won shite at Nebraska. Miles has three division titles, 2 conf champs, 2 bcs championship game appearances and a title.

Lsu fans are fricking retarded

Pelini was an unapologetic a-hole from the moment he stepped foot on that campus. The firing has most to do with that simple fact. That and he had an embarrassing sideline demeanor.

Edit...also look at Nebraskas history of coaches...their "resolve" set them on a long tailspin of mediocrity.

But rantards have their own reasons so I guess they are right and the AD of Nebraska is a moot point.

This is what I meant when I said, "something smells."

"Pelini was an unapologetic a-hole from the moment he stepped foot on that campus. The firing has most to do with that simple fact. That and he had an embarrassing sideline demeanor. "

And Les has never verbally trashed the fan base that effectively pays his salary and isn't an alienating ego-maniac with serious, serious anger issues.

AD told the tram via email

Deadspin has a bunch of player tweets. They are pissed. And some commits took pics of them throwing their nebraska letters away

Pelini was 25-24 vs teams that finished above .500 and 40-2 vs teams that finished below .500.

There is a significant chance that Nebraska does not duplicate Pelini's success moving forward.

There's nothing wrong with that line of thinking. Now, the AD has to back it up and hire the guy to come in and win those games Bo couldn't. That's the same line they used with Solich, and that AD wound up with Bill Callhan, so hopefully this guy will have a better experience

I'm sure it has already been said, but no one liked Pelini.

He was there seven years - that's a lot of a$$hole before deciding you've had enough. It's just what the AD said - they didn't win the big games, didn't get a conference championship and didn't make it to a BCS Bowl. He did pretty good and they had very respectable records, but they want to go to the next level.

They don't want to be Georgia. Fix it or get out of town. They figured out that Bo like Richt would never win when it counted.

Yes this philosophy didn't work last time with Solich for Nebraska. However as several here have indicated, Bo's situation was more than just the record. No AD is going to say he was an arse publicly.
