I do really hope sloan accepts a demotion like he did at LT.

I've asked this in multiple threads and no one's answered - when was he demoted at Tech?

With no Underwood and Kelly spotted on the sidelines with playcalling sheets, I can't see how Sloan will stay as OC. Kelly knows the ice is getting thinner and thinner underneath him. He will get a more proven OC in the offseason.

Hankton should be fired.
Not doing it coaching or recruiting.

I doubt Sloan gets "demoted". If he's not the OC, I expect he will move on to another school. I also expect him to not be retained as OC. When the HC, for the first time since he's been at LSU, feels it is necessary to carry a play sheet with him on the sideline that is a pretty clear indication the HC doesn't fully trust the OC.

I personally know nothing inside the program. A friend of mine was at a social event this weekend and talked to a person who has means to know said Sloan is in trouble. Not enough to say if this is gospel fact or opinion.

Bottom line, just some good rumor grade info

Because he is not good at his current job which is OC. You accept it or get your arse fired.

Hankton will not be here next year. He has tried for awhile to get out of LSU at an OC job. I think it pretty much shows in recruiting this year and his on the field performance with his WR group. He doesn't want to be here. Let him go.

Sloan will probably move on to somewhere else as well but I'd like to see him stay as QB coach. I doubt he stays getting demoted though.

If you get an OC change, keep in mind BKs original choice for OC is currently a TEs coach and now offers a year of SEC play calling experience.

You'll get Tommy Rees. You will 100% get Tommy Rees.

I think he's an important part of the room and important to keep him with Nuss

Which part of Nuss' development this year makes you think this is a wise move?

I hope Sloan is gone after this season.

Tommy Rees would be an improvement over Sloan.

Goodness, it's like none of you have been employed before. Unless we are paying him an obnoxious amount of money, he would probably even take a pay cut to be an OC at a smaller football program, or he'd go sideways somewhere else. How are players supposed to go from thinking if him as an OC to another person as well when he's in the building. Why would a good OC come here when the old OC is still on staff?

Did you say the same about Jayden’s development in November 2022? Jayden had actually shown slight regression late in that year. A 2nd offseason for sloan and nuss would be a good thing no matter how upset you are about this year’s outcome.

The other question will be what happens to Hankton? He's technically the "co-OC". In reality, he's still just the WR coach. Would he accept returning to be just the WR coach again

Have you see out receivers this year?

Doubt we want him as WR coach at all?

East Carolina filled their head coaching job so that’s not an option for Sloan ….i think he stays as qb coach

He'd probably be offered WR coach along with some made up title to keep him if Kelly wants him. aka, WR Coach/Passing Game Coordinator.

Or, we hire a new OC and allow him to bring in his own offensive assistants.

Nuss and Jayden are not cut from the same cloth and comparing them is literally apples and oranges

Jayden's ability to run the ball made him a better passing QB.

What's he known for other than being Brian Kelly and Alabama's former coordinator?
