Thanks for sharing...but they haven't really played for him yet in a regular season. Seems like there jumping the gun a bit

Notre Dame is coming off of one of their best seasons ever in 2021 with 11 regular season wins.
LSU is coming off of one of their worst seasons in recent history with a 6-6 record in the regular season.
I don't care what Michael Mayer says, there is a good chance LSU wins more games this season than Notre Dame.

Just different styles.
Kelly is older, MUCH more expereinced, and has the gravitas to be more of the "CEO" type coach. Freeman is much younger, unproven, but eager to establish himself as a HC.
Ultimately respect will come down to results. There is a guy in Tuscaloosa who I doubt is "hanging with the boys". People still line up to play for him because he has the skins on the wall to do things his way. Kelly doesn't need to prove to his team he CAN be successful. He can just point to his resume. Freeman can't at the moment. He has to prove it to his team.

I’m sure Freeman is more fun than Kelly. But we just had a fun coach.
Maybe they need some fun and we need a dad who can build the program.

Everyone is happy and optimistic and everything is better than last season before they start playing games. I watched the Fiesta Bowl and at times Freeman looked in over his head.

Thats a great clip, like seeing three football players from three different schools shooting the Shite, and busting balls, so little of it has anything to do about Kelly or Freeman, you all should watch the whole thing.

OU fans and players are saying the same thing about Venables and how a 0-0 career coach is 10x better than Lincoln Riley.
Its what happens when you're dumped by the hot girl and tell yourself the new girl is better.

With a team built by Kelly with all the structure in place Freeman can come in and just be Rah-Rah. He’ll win off of Kelly’s structure like Miles did. In 3 years it will be all up to him.

Kinda like how students like a substitute teacher more than the regular teacher because the substitute teacher lets them play on their phone

Lmao. You have terrible takes.

I'm sure he's real objective. Kelly's record speaks for itself so he can suck it

I remember the players at LSU Liked and were Happier playing for Coach O over Coach Miles too
Fair point
At the time though, LSU immediately improved that year when he took over for Les. It was after the NC that it all went to shite.
Players never seem to know what's best for them though. They generally like the coaches that go easier on them, but those coaches usually don't get the results that everyone desires. Freeman seems like a good guy and a great recruiter, but so far he is 0-1 with ND's biggest blown lead ever in a bowl.

I believe Coach Kelly will be hugely successful here and I also think Freeman will be successful at ND. I hope we get the chance to whip them in a playoff game soon.

Freeman the players coach. No head coaching experience. Got it
Freeman has won zero games (he blew a 28-7 lead in his first game).
Over/Under of him winning more games than Kelly at ND.... I'll take the under.
Kelly beat LSU twice while at ND, with ND talent.
Freeman better hope he never faces Kelly armed with LSU talent.

sounds like the players at ND are all happier to play for Freeman vs Kelly.
Yeah until Ohio State drills that arse because they arent prepared.

If he’d had sentiments less than supportive of Freeman, he’d be in the portal. What would you expect him to say?

Coach eaux says hey I'll be in Destin when they let you go, Come see me. LOL

On one hand, O won 1 championship more than he should have. On the other, Miles won 2 fewer.
I’m not commenting on any specific coach, but this is dumb as frick. There is no “should” when it comes to winning national championships. No matter the sport or the roster, it’s hard as frick to do. Nick Saban’s complete outlier has warped people’s expectation to where they have retarded takes like this.

retarded takes
Like the one that has O not being a championship caliber coach? (He isn't. He is a product, not the cause, of the "Joe Burrow miracle".)
Or that Les should have won championships in 2006 and 2011?
(He should have.)

Yes, both of those takes are fricking retarded. There’s a huge difference between “could” and “should.” You’ve already made up your mind on O having nothing to with ‘19 (which is retarded, but pretty common on here, stupid as it is), so there’s no attempting to change it. But Florida was pretty fricking good in ‘06. And Alabama was an all-time team in ‘11. We “could” have won either or both of those years. But “should” have? Nah. That’s not how sports work.
