Frankly, it’s not even close. And Notre Dame fans are not even thinking about BK anymore as they have a top 3 if not the very best coach for the current college football climate in the country. How are we debating this. Annoying that half the threads on the boards are about Notre Dame. We sit here and say they’re delusional while THEY are playing for a national championship lol.

Freeman is humble and likeable. He is a classy young guy and a very good coach, I can see why kids of any background would love to play for the guy.
I am not a ND fan and never have been. But I am pulling for them this year because of Freeman, a lot of people are. He is the anti-Deion Sanders for me.
On the other hand, BK is not ”an unlikable, pompous douchenozzle.” We need to be real. Personally, I don’t care about a coaches personality as much as I do creating a winning program. CBK has underwhelmed LSU fans to a great degree and he hasn’t even met his own expectations. He has a lot to prove this year for sure. For me, he has the next two years to meet expectations - I am going to pull for him to do it. If he doesn’t, well…

They got Deion Junior coaching them - they are the new shiny toy. Amazing how everyone loves ND now and for the last 25 years you would hard pressed to find a ND fan in the South.

Early on at ND he was. He's mellowed out now. He can still be an arse, but he's ours so we're good with it.
You might not like him, but he rebuilt your program and handed it over to a young coach who he targeted and brought into the program.
We all know this hate is just your way of saying "Thank you" to Kelly for taking ND out of the black hole that was the Weiss era. On behalf of our coach, you're welcome.

I think it's more that LSU now has a head coach that left a school and the guy is already doing what LSU's coach thought he could never do in just 3 years. Meanwhile Kelly looks mid and the same ol overrated coach he was at ND.
It's pretty easy to see why people are giving him some solid praise and hating on Kelly. IMO, both are deserving of that. kelly is who we thought he was, and Freeman is better than people claimed.
