Whatever makes you sleep at night!
In a few years, 2024 in ND football will be remembered as when y'all lost 16-14 to the Northern Illinois Huskies.

They know this, they are just butthurt because Kelly left the mighty ND for LSU. To them that's an insult.
They ended the season no better than when Kelly was there. Lovers of the National Championship game. They can count all the moral victories they want but it means nothing

Outperformed by what dinner take over a team that had 38 scholarship players? He took a team in that was 11-1 why because of Brian Kelly ! The same guy that took over a program that was dead for 2 decades ! And I’ll say he did a fantastic job ! Your stil notre dame ! You can’t get players for shite you will never match up well with the top of the top ! You were lucky this season ! You
Got a lucky draw! Georgia probably claps
Your cheeks with there starting qb that was!

He’s done nothing Brian Kelly has not done !

Dude yall can’t throw the ball down field! You exhausted your qb in the first drive! Dude looks out of shape to many times because he’s running the rock !

And when did BK beat three top 10 teams in the postseason and at least looked like they belonged on the field the second half
I didn't really know where this sentence was going at first, but I'm glad I stuck around for the journey.

Showing up to an LSU site to whine. Dude, don't you have bad beer and shite food to be eating up there?

Freeman's already outperformed BK at Notre Dame.
Spoken like someone who doesn’t remember the decade of failure Notre Dame went through before Brian Kelly took over that program. BK brought the Irish back to CFB relevancy. Freeman is riding that legacy.

I like Freeman and I think he’ll be fine. ND will be fine. But calling him a “better coach” is pretty premature. BK talked about not having the resources to win a NC. Brady Quinn confirmed that in his most recent rant - they launched the collective, raised millions for NIL, built a new state of the art facility (all things BK wanted) AFTER he left. So Freeman had all the resources available and still came up short against an OSU team that scared nobody. BK took his teams to the playoffs and a NC game with far less than what Freeman has. It’s pretty obvious who the better coach is.

Why cant ND fans be thankful for the man saving their mediocre program and making it a 10 win program and leaving a well rounded program for Freeman to continue???
A thousand percent this.

Taking pride in “belonging on the field” for half of a national championship game shows just how pathetic ND fans are. But I guess when you have the sos they had, it is a victory of sorts.

Please elaborate mister I'm not really an LSU Tiger fan...I'm just here to shite on the coach.

Kelly made the playoffs with ND when the playoffs were 2 and 4 teams. If that was the case this year Freeman misses the playoffs again.

Fraud season? Fraud coach? He won 3 playoff games (TWO more major bowl wins than CBK has EVER won).
But I hope your post makes you feel better about your coach.

Freeman's already outperformed BK at Notre Dame. But I don't expect some LSU fans to have a realistic take.
How so? Kelly took over a turd of a losing program and immediately turned them into a winner, went undefeated in his 3rd year in the regular season, and made it to the national championship when it was much harder to do so before getting waxed by Bama under Saban (the greatest dynasty we have ever seen in college football). Then he went on to make the playoffs in future seasons and won 55 games in his last 5 years there. He had two undefeated regular seasons there. That's hard to do even with ND's schedule.
Freeman did a very good job with this team this year, but in the old format, he would have been eliminated from NC contention immediately for losing to Northern Illinois at home. And the portal makes it possible to get experienced QBs every year. Freeman has coached teams with extremely experienced QBs and good players. BK built a lot of the foundation Freeman was working with there. He didn't have to turn around a losing program and culture like BK. He did a good job this year, but BK had a tougher job to do.
