We aren't mediocre. Defense is going to have to carry this team (and is capable of it) until the offense gets healthy and figures it out. Been a long time since that was the case but it can come together. Just need to get to the bye week somehow unscathed.

The same place as every other team that’s currently ranked. It’s based off player ratings and the very little “eye test” that we have to go by on any team at this point in the season.
In essence. It’s a damn “educated guess” at best. I’m not sure why anyone gets their nuts twisted over a damn poll this early in the season. I’m also not sure why any fan would get their nuts all twisted over their team right now unless maybe if you were 0-2. I certainly ain’t ready to call it quits on the team over one bleh performance over a scrub team after having to go on the road in a season opener against a top 5 team at night. We will know a lot more about this team after the next couple weeks.

Scary things is, its not on the players...its on the coaches to have them prepared with a gameplay that will work and dominate weaker opponents. Individual talent is as good as anyone. Penn St, Georgia, South Carolina, and Clemson sleep walked through their games as well. Texas, Clemson, and ND already had losses and ASU, Michigan, and Florida lost this week. Who exactly has looked consistently impressive to you so far? Even Ohio St’s offense didn’t look good Week 1. That leaves maybe Oregon and Miami, perhaps FSU.

It’s really not complicated.
The defense looks like they will keep LSU in every game and Nuss is one of the few QBs in the nation that has shown he can get it done in crunch time.
That and the fact that LSU’s schedule is looking very favorable right now.
