My hope for Herman to crash and burn is because he played LSU to get a better deal at Texas. The same goes for Jimbo. I wanted us to hire him, but it became clear he was using LSU the way Herman did.

Herman will probably do ok at Texas. He's murdering it in recruiting right now and the Big 12 is weak.
But, RIGHT NOW, I don't think he's a very good game coach. His clock management last year was atrocious and going for two there was highly questionable. He's young, though, so it will be interesting to see how he develops.

Maryland being Maryland. Teams playing not to get beat rather than keeping their foot down.

And now they're within 3. Defense looks to be settling in and offense is moving now. Special teams with its 3rd TD. Lots of teams had poor starts on week 1. They might be turning it around. Like many have said it's game 1, can't declare him a success or a failure at all at this point.
