As much fun as it would be for Texas to lose, they're probably going to pull this one out.

So happy to have been wrong.

Wait. Do you think MAYBE Herman losing to UCONN, Navy, SMU, etc. was actually significant? Many on this board were very willing to overlook it.

Do you think that MAYBE Herman's inflated win total over the likes of Lamar, Texas State, Tulane (twice), Tulsa, UCONN, UCF, Memphis, etc. now matter in hindsight?

Herman had two years of head coaching experience and was nowhere near ready to coach in the SEC West.

Great for LSU

Their decline continues and the hope is lost. Should keep us recruiting strong in Texas.

Think he built his rep on the Ohio State win over Bama when he was the OC and his upset of OU last year for Houston. Otherwise, this guy seems like a flavor of the month. I'm guilty for being on his bandwagon and being willing to overlook the pregame make-out sessions, but holy shite... Texas just gave up 50... AGAINST MARYLAND!!!

After his opening weekend loss to Maryland, Texas head coach Tom Herman said he...

“can’t sprinkle fairy dust on this thing.”

Which Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, Herman's former boss, did not like hearing. Per CBS...
quote:

Meyer also said Muschamp “blamed us for Florida,” referring to a perceived lack of talent left for Muschamp when Meyer departed before the 2011 season.

“C’mon man. I don’t know where that came from,” Meyer told CBS Sports. “It’s like a new generation of excuse. [Herman] said, ‘I can’t rub pixie dust on this thing.’ He got a dose of reality. Maryland just scored 51 points on you.”

“That’s like, when I got here, everybody wanted me to say Jim Tressel left the cupboard bare,” Meyer continued. “If I heard any assistant coach [say that], they’d be gone. You’re done.

“Those are your players. I hear TV guys [say], ‘Wait until they get their own players in there.’ They’re our players. What do you mean ‘their players?’ The minute you sign a contract, they’re your players.

“You didn’t choose me, I chose you. You’re mine, absolutely. I love you, and I’m going to kick the shite out of you, and we’re going to do it right …

“[Blaming players] drives me insane.”

Dang. Meyer certainly didn't provide his boy Tom any cover.
