Shut the frick up. I thought you didn’t like Alleva because he fired your boy Johnny Jones?

That's okay, I can put you in a dress and call you Sheila without any help.

We're not exalting anyone. It's sports. The points that the vast majority of us have made is that there was no reason to single him out, and that there is no hard evidence against him, to date, and so why would LSU bring further scrutiny upon it's basketball program, by backing it's coach into a corner, almost setting a trap having the NCAA on the phone?
The people we "attacked" in the media made themselves targets by their disgusting, sanctimonious, fake outrage toward OUR coach, while simultaneously calling Zion the "savior of college basketball", and celebrating other coaches who we know are involved in pay for play.
But you were one of the main guys who were always looking for a reason to criticize Wade, since he was hired. You've been waiting for him to fail, and defending Johnny Jones anytime he is mentioned, as if you think HE should still be our coach.
So I'm not surprised.

For the best of the university this move had to be made. Joe was way to scared of the NCAA , as Dale Brown said at meeting freak the NCAA. Said” Threaten to turn in the blue bloods and they will back off.

You call it mob rule, I call it crowd sourced policy change. Admins typically won't do the right thing unless somebody lights a fire under their butts, and this was most definitely the right thing.

The hate for Alleva did not start with Will Wade. It runs much deeper and goes back several years on how he handled other issues.
But, the tipping point was met with Wade's suspension and I believe it comes down to the reports that came out initially that Wade was ready to meet with Alleva and then the meeting was changed to have the NCAA present.
I think most thought that was BS and a setup against Wade.
IMO, he lost many people that might have supported him that day.
Then he followed it up with the terrible press releases,etc...

I don’t care about the mob, but it’s pretty shitty for the President to control the AD and then let him be fired for what you did

However, the mob mentality involved is kind of disturbing. Wade has been exalted like some type of God (he's not, and I doubt he'll land any big recruits next year). There is no need to be blind to his faults - coaching and otherwise.
Wade is a small piece. The bulk of the anger is from his handling of Les Miles and the subsequent coaching search. He and F. King looked lost and reactionary during that whole situation. They looked the exact same in the Will Wade situation.
