Was that a no hitter thru the final 8 inn? Tuned in late and just see they scored 2 runs in the 1st and 2 hits all game.

quote:Yes, no hits in their 2nd through 9th innings although there were walks in inning 3 and 8 to go with one walk in the first inning.

I did not realize that but yes, it was. Only two guys got on base after the first inning if I just looked at the stats correctly. 2 hits, and a walk in the first inning, a walk in the 3rd, and a walk in the 8th.
Eyanson pitched 7 innings allowing 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 earned runs, with 15 Ks. 97 pitches 67 were strikes
Cowan pitched 2 innings allowing no hits, 1 walk, 0 earned runs, with 5 Ks. 31 pitches 20 were strikes

Missed the first 3 innings. What happened in the first? Clearly eyanson turned something on 2nd inning on.

Jay Johnson said chill the frick out and strike people out.

We need to use an opener for eyanson. If he avoids the 1st inning hes nails.

Surely someone on here is nerdy enough to be able to do some calculations on this and come up with a distance
Posted on 3/9/25 at 2:02 am to Btrtigerfan
When was the last time they couldn't provide distance data on a HR? I surely don't recall...
How far that ball traveled, I guess we'll never know...

I plugged these factors into Grok to try to get an answer:
106 mph Exit Velocity
36 degree Launch Angle
86 ft. Max Height
It did the math and said 580ft. You read that right. Now I don’t fully believe it, but good god if that’s even somewhat accurate.
Edit: ChatGPT said 420-470 depending on the air resistance

I guess he'll have to do it again.

Google maps distance shows ~448 feet to the fence around the U-High field. If we know whether it cleared that or bounced into it, then we would have an approximate distance.

Someone did the math & created graphic
Said 474 ft

Hit my roof then the bed cover of a gmc on the uhigh side of the lot, bounced over the fence. So, not really “cleared”

jesus, how did he just do that

475’ according to a twitter poster using the air temp, wind, and the data provided.
