I believe we were in good rhythm to score on first drive before Gilbert dropped that pass

THIS!!! That ball was perfectly thrown and hit him square in the hands. He just dropped the pass.

not sure total number of drops. But, the first 3 drives each had a dropped pass that would have resulted in a first down for each drive. Very frustrating.

Who is actually coaching WR's this season? Linehan and/or MJ?

Are all the drops due to coaching technique problems (As compared to Joe Brady) or the fact that MB throws a really hard ball with no touch, that is a lot more difficult to catch than a Burrow pass......

Fans forget how many dropped passes last year's WR's dropped their first year. It will improve.

Hell, Gilbert had 3. Marshal dropped 1 or 2. Had a few more in there too.

Gilbert dropped a TD pass on the 2 and there was one other that should've been caught in the EZ

We just won a natty, and you said the above? Wow, what a drop off in one year. We should be able to beat mediocre teams? That is sad

The throw was slightly behind him, but he should have made the catch. I agree that drop and Marshall's drop early in the game was a momentum killer.

Those are deceiving numbers too

One interception was a hail Mary at the gun and the other was his arm being hit because Deculus couldn’t stop a goddamn nose bleed he was so bad.

Without all the drops and if Deculus can actually block on the first interception Myles has a crazy great day.

Hell even if Deculus just blocks on that one play he has 400 yards and 4 TDs
we can all play that game. One of Brennan's TDs was a fluke - an awful decision to lob it in the end zone and Gilbert bailed him out. Another long pass was an underthrown bomb that the MSU DB whiffed on.

And MSU had some drops too that I remember.

See, we can all do this every single game. It balances out.

There were a few...what else do you want? Would like to harp on the 2 TD passes that were wild jump balls that he got very lucky on and was bailed out by that same receiving corps?

Point is, it’s a team effort. Everyone has to contribute to win. There’s a lot more that went wrong in this game then Brennan making some bad decisions.

You can’t be serious? Why don’t you tell what really happened? We were in pistol and used PA inside the 10, nobody was fooled and Brennan had immediate pressure in his face. He saw the TE all alone and got what he could on the ball but it hung up enough for the State player and another Tiger WR to get in on the play. The throw was right on target and hit Gilbert in between the numbers, he didn’t jump to catch it. The second TD was a good deep ball that the WR misplayed initially turning it into a semi contested ball. You guys are lying about what happened to smear the QB and it’s pathetic.

Perhaps I'm thinking of a crucial completion near the goal line on the 2nd jump ball.

Unlike last year, we didn't have the summer of 10,000 catches.

some of those 6-7 yard passes across the middle that were dropped had no touch on them.

One of them, to Emery, was beautifully thrown, but it appeared to be behind Emery because he didn’t break off his route in the open spot. Bad route, and there were a lot of bad routes. The QB cannot develop confidence if he’s not sure what his receivers are doing.

That is correct. Brennan has to develop a touch to his passes. That is what makes a QB elite, ala Joe Montana, Joe Burrow...
