Wake is the smart pick with their pitching, and their bats are on fire. They will be hard to send home, as well as Tennesee, due to their pitching depth.

Wake is a pretty strong pick.

I totally understand why someone would choose Florida and Wake. Both have incredibly deep pitching staffs and can hit top to bottom. We'll definitely have to get guys to step up deep on the mound and get some lengthy starts from Floyd and Hurd but offensively I'm not too worried.

Wake and Florida is pretty reasonable, I can't justify an ACC vs ACC I just cant

It does seem as though the narrative that after skenes LSU has nothing has stuck. For a while that was true, but over the last month LSU's bullpen has been pretty consistent and significantly improved over when that narrative began.

Actually probably one of the better pitching teams in post season play. I really have not heard one talking head on a national level take note of this however when discussing who can win it all. I think I have heard more talking heads say Tennessee can win it all than LSU.

I can understand the straight chalk for wake, I do not get the sudden love for Virginia lately. Guess they are just looking at numbers in a vacuum. Not sure on what planet Virginia should have opened up as a favorite over Florida, did not take long for bettors to hope on line

I mean picking Wake isn’t that crazy no one would flip out if they had picked LSU either.

you would think people like you would shutup by now. I bet you believed we wouldn't win the regional or super bc of only having " one pitcher"

I honestly don't either.

They dropped 2/3 to Va Tech, Pitt, and Duke and were swept by Notre Dame. Only one of those teams made the tournament. They didn't advance out of their pod in the ACCT, and they lost a game in both the regionals and super regionals.

Conversely, Florida won the SEC. They dropped series to A&M and USC, both on the road and both teams having made the tournament, Florida beating one of them (USC) in the supers. Florida did lose a game in the regionals but went 2-0 in the supers, shutting out USC to advance to Omaha.

Where do we line up to give Wake or Florida their victory lap?

UVA is not as good as Wake, UF, or LSU, but they have a chance. Best batting average in the country and pitching rounded into shape recently.
