I mean being terrible at your job has never been grounds for cause. If you sign someone to a guaranteed contract and they’re awful at the job, then that’s your mistake for hiring them and you have to own the consequences.
Expecting someone to do the minimum isn’t all that much

Omg the sky is falling . LSU is one of the top jobs in the country regardless.

Tennessee recently went through this. It is what it is. Everyone needs to chill out and let the process play out. It will get ugly before it gets better.

NO big name coach would want to deal with this $hitshow
A chance to coach a preeminent program in the SEC, they'll be lining up for interviews. An Agent who knows his stuff will have protection s built into his clients contract. It's just what CFB has morphed into
It's always been about the money, but it comes with a win now, or else provision attached
.

Like all these people whining wouldn't take the first job that comes along that would pay them generational money.

Haven’t heard that 27 times in the last week.

all the more reason to hire a young, hungry guy.
One of which would swim, crawl, and trudge to get here.
“No one will want to come here!!!” I’m sure it’ll be regurgitated again tomorrow.

A big name is not needed to be a successful hire.

After the 288th thread on this same opinion, we get it. LSU will be forced to hire some no name from a division 2 school and eventually LSU will just shut the football program down, demolish Tiger Stadium and light a match and burn down the football ops building.

This is good news…?hiring a big name coach seldom works out…. Like Jimbo or Kelly.

Don't be a fool. Most coaches, even the good ones are nothing but whores. All you have to do is show the $$$$$

Landry has created a sh1tshow!

Good, LSU doesn't need a 'big name' coach.

What if you have to sue the university and go through a public legal battle to get said money? Doesn’t make the job too attractive huh
