NIL, recruiting, none of it matters if the scheme doesn't fit the personnel!

Running zone read with a pro style pocket passer who everybody knows isn't running is insane. I can't believe this hasn't been a major point with fans.

How many zone reads do we run per game?

Because this is a false narrative.

LSU ran zone read less than 10 times this season.

OP's upvote to downvote ratio is a clear indicator of how football dumb this fanbase is.

Claiming LSU ran zone reads with a pocket passer is the inly thing you said that was insane

We ran play action, rarely, RARELY zone reads

you are probably confused with the zone read and vertical RPO mesh point looking the same. it's ok. we have went round and round here over it.

without you watching nuss' eyes/head closely they can look the same except have different reads. many times nuss handed off even when backside DE crashed down proving it was a RPO and NOT a zone read. if it was a zone read he would pull and run to vacated spot. he was obviously reading box(and it gave him the numbers he wanted) so he allowed the RB to take the ball at the mesh due to that being his read for a RPO and not the DE like on a zone read.

here was a good thread on it i bookmarked.

Actually, instead of running it, if we could just defend the zone read we'd be in the playoffs.
