Our history agaisnt bama in Tiger stadium speaks for itself. However, idk man it just feels different this year. When I look at both teams objectively I flat out think we not only have better team but playing better football. Another bye week to get Treydez healthy to go with a red hot Jackson Harris should give us a big advantage in the pass game agaisnt a shaky bama backend esp if Winnie remembers how to catch the football again cuz he can get seperation.

Defensively , I simply think we matchup well across the board. Upfront we should be able to get after Russell, our backend can hold up in man agaisnt their receivers in confident even in Williams is back dj Pickett takes him out of the game.

Not to mention, we’ve been dominant at home early in the lane Kiffin era. All points to our first big title victory in the lane era. Can’t wait to see how it plays out

I have some good news for you. Your high confidence level, or concern about said confidence level will have absolutely zero effect on the outcome of the game.

Unless of course you are suiting up for the good guys on Saturday.

Our total superiority will be our downfall!!!

(As Timmy Turner’s dad would say on The Fairly Oddparents)

Same. I think they somehow keep it close.

Sam has to be disciplined. Bama lives on T/Os. But only 2 teams have given up more sacks, State and AU. And their center is out. So now they ahve to worry about the young guys up the middle a little more.

I am calm and confident as well. Part of it is knowing Kiffin is the right guy and part of it is the Saban documentary made me look up the series history and from 2000-2011 we were 8-3 against them. Saban ain't here to save them.

If we play our game, there’s nobody in the country that can beat us.

Just don’t make mistakes and we will win.

Lucky for you your confidence won’t make a difference.

I understand what you’re saying though.

saban is no longer at bama. i think we have the advantage in coaching. assuming sam doesn't meltdown with a brutal turnover, i feel really good about this game.

I just hope to God that Bama doesn’t have the ball, down by 3-5 points, with under 2 minutes to go. Instant PTSD for me….

This is key. It’s not just Sam, the receivers need to play clean as well.

Sam can throw a pick, it happens. Just can’t let it affect him mentally. Bama keeps it close if we lose the TO battle by 2. Keep it at -1 or better, and play sound special teams, LSU wins. Bama won’t be able to keep up on the scoreboard without those self inflicted wounds.

Against Kentucky, LSU was -2 in TO margin and allowed a punt return. Not a winning recipe.

Bama friends of mine are unfazed. Expecting the usual tiger stadium steamroll. shite pissed me off.

I had to even throw a hapless tail between the legs “hey I like our trajectory more than yalls”

They just laughed and shrugged. I would feel the same way if I was them, we can’t beat them. They’ve dominated this series for most of my life and history.

Kind of reminds me of 2015 with fournette.. that was on the road though and we had Les miles and not Kiffin. Maybe I was naive but I thought fournette was going to push us over the edge like burrow did. I mean at that time he was coming off that auburn game which was an unreal performance.

Want a hit to the confidence?

We haven't played a team as good as Alabama yet. The two "good" teams we played, Ole Miss, and Kentucky, both beat us.
Alabama murdered Kentucky.
They lost a close one against Georgia, who is currently the best team in the SEC. An uncalled PI, which was clear to everyone watching, cost them that game.
They also lost a stinker to Tennessee where they couldn't do anything right. 4 turnovers was the key to that one. They also missed an uncharacteristic 23 tackles

Bama is good this year, and arguably the toughest opponent on our entire schedule. I think we match up well against them, but I do not feel confident.

I don’t believe it is fools gold but let’s be honest—we don’t have any great wins. Fortunately we have dominated lesser opponent. I feel we are certainly a different team that lost in Oxford and KY but it’s time for us to prove it

On paper that all looks to be accurate. Am concerned about Terrance Green.

We are one of the hotter teams right now and have a good offense. I like to think we are getting healthier.

Bama is good but this isn’t 2011-13 bama.

You would be silly and paranoid not to be somewhat confident
