In the last 20 years, only LSU players did it. Randy Moss and Anquan Boldin also eclipsed that mark.

Most importantly, all from Louisiana.

Is anyone still arguing that we aren't? I think it's pretty common knowledge who WRU is

We used to hold DBU as well, but I can buy other people's arguments saying we aren't at the moment. Delane was a step in the right direction to getting back and Pickett will continue that

I mean only Ohio st can come close

Having guys like Thomas and OBJ fizzle out doesn’t help tho.

It's Ohio State. Pretty common knowledge. If you need any help, ask a Saints fan.

Ohio St has a weak argument. It’s been between Ohio St and LSU the last decade

That is strong and I would assume is unmatched with respect to any other rookie statistics that exist

Only OSU fans don't want to recognize LSU as WRU. Even Bama fans admit we've had studs at WR for decades.

MIchael Clayton was a big time recruit that Saban had to have in 2001.
He caught the winning TD vs Kentucky from Rohan Davey with 13 sec left that year in a strange back n forth game.

Pretty early to conclude Thomas has fizzled out...not sure I'd categorize OBJ that way either.

Injuries damaged OBJ. He didn't just start sucking. And you're right, BTJ has all the time in the world to get back on track.

Can you really claim to be DBU or WRU, in the portal era?

Somebody mentioned Delane, but he's just a 1 yr transfer. Pickett and Woodland are the guys who are coming up through the system that you could tout.

As for WR, everything was great every year, and then after Nabers and Thomas left, -nothing. Our main guys have been portal dudes ever since. Some might have ties to La, but nobody that came to LSU out of high school. That needs to change.

This video makes a fair argument for all the contenders, and spoiler alert, LSU is named the winner:

Not sure if serious. That was only two seasons ago. And we fired the coach.

Absolutely serious.

When Nabers and Thomas left, the only guy in the high school recruit pipeline was Hilton, and he didn't pan out.
The rest were transfers, not "LSU guys", for the past 2 seasons, nobody remotely close to a 1st rd talent.
And we're going into 2026, third straight year, looking at playing almost all transfers.

If you want to claim to be "whatever" U, WR DB etc, you dont get that from the portal. You get it from developing high school recruits in-house.
Pickett and Woodland are a good representation of DBU. Some WRs from Ole Miss, K State and Hawaii are not the same thing
